does it explain all about the green and red days in the books cos i really dont understand at the min
The Food Optimising Starter Pack has everything in it to get you started. It lists all of your healthy extra choices and some basic syn values to get you going. It's pretty straight forward once you get the hang of it!0 -
ok it just all seems confusing at the min but im sure once i get the books i will understand better0

Can somebody help me please?
I have barbecue chicken from the rottiserie at Asdas..looked up syns online and it says 3 syns per 100g on red day.
Now I would expect that if I'm eating the skin but if I'm not eating the skin is it still 3 syns per 100g or free?0 -
I need some suport too! please.
Went back to class weighing more than I did before I started before!
I have 20 lbs and have a 10 week deadline-going to class and thats what I can afford. Reackon £50 in class fees cheaper than a new wardrobe of clothes!
Lost 3 1/2 lbs this week-but have been mega good. hardley any syns
Can some one please tell me what the lowest syn crisps are? I need crips or might not last the week out!
Thanks0 -

It is a bit puzzling at first, but once you thoroughly read the starter pack, it will all make sense!
I found at first it was easier to make notes of bits to remember for quick reference, then over time it becomes second nature!
Get a pack ordered then you've taken the first big step to a new you!0 -
Hi All,since they have changed format on syns calculator I have found it a nightmare.I did the syns for Tesco Rice Noodles and got it at 9.5
Retired lady can you tell me where I am going wrong.... please
Hi katie, not sure what you mean by going wrong, the rice noodles are 9.5 if you are doing a green day or an extra easy day. It only goes up to the 31 syn if you are doing red days because rice is never free or even a HEB on red days. Can you just clarify exactly what you think is going wrong and I will be happy to help:j:j
When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -

Roumer has it that they inject fat into the flesh of some rotisserie chickens, so I'd say 3 per 100g is correct for the flesh only.0 -

Can anyone tell me the syns for Muesli? I had a bowl of about 56g of Jordan's Fruit and Nut muesli. It's not on my list of HEB's, so I'd like to know how many syns it has.
Anyway the meal plan for today is:
Breakfast - Muesli and milk (HEA and ?? syns)
Snack - Apple and banana
Lunch - Be good to youself egg mayo sandwhich (Free, HEB)
Snack - apple and banana (forgot to stock the fruitbowl over the weekend, so that's all that was left this morning... not very exciting!!)
Dinner - Bubble & Squeak
Beans
2 X Fried Eggs (Free)
small homemade fruit salad (Free)
Evening snack - cereal and milk (HEA)
College is cancelled this evening, so I'll probably start picking, just out of boredom so I need to get to the shops and restock the fruitbowl to make sure that's what I'm picking at and not the kids lunch box treats!
I've decided to actually join a class. I'm going tomorrow lunch time, but I'm scared (I'm such a wuss). What exactly do you do at the Image Therapy bit? Do they make you talk if you're a bit shy and don't want to? Does anyone else know what your weigh in results are, apart from the consultant? I know I'm being a baby about it, but I am quite worried.
Muesli, Fruit & Nut, 28g 5 syns which means your portion came to 10 syns! Good luck in joining your class, please don't worry about joining the class, just remember that everyone who goes was just as nervous as you were when they started! When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -
Hi everyone!
Welcome to the new faces ... it is lovely to meet you all here, I hope you enjoy your stay
I have my parents staying with us for a few days before me and my hubby head off to Copenhagen for my long birthday weekend, and they stay to look after DD :T :T
So, despite having guests, we are being super dooper good so that I can go off the rails a bit while I am away. Thankfully, my parents are used to eating very healthily in Spain, and they think my cooking is wonderful, so I am getting away with staying on plan competely:A
I am having EE days while they are here, and todays plan has been
B 0% greek yog with lots of berries, and toast for those that wish it (not me!), tea (HA)
L hm middle eastern lentil soup with ham sandwiches (bread HB), fruit for afters.
Mum brought a piece of birthday cake, so we all had a very small piece each at the end of school (8syns??)
D Salmon pasta with leeks and ff fromage frais. side salad. Lemon mousse terrine (from the jan issue of the mag) 0.5 syns per person, and it looks really good :T
We will share a bottle of wine between the 4 of us (6syns for me)0 -
Judderman, have pm'd you for the spreadsheet:)
Three days left till due date and have put on exactly 1st 8oz:T Thank you SW and everybody on here:D
I know I haven't been posting but I have been lurking in the shadows:p using all you guys to keep me motivated. I also haven't stayed exactly to plan, and the last week or two I have been very bad....but hey ho.
Shouldn't be long until I can join my local group now, which I am very excited aboutIs that normal!
Keep up the good work and I will start posting more as soon as I am on the losing weight wagon, instead of the trying not to gain too much trail:rotfl:
