    Part of the Furniture
Well done, also took me a while to get my head in the right place, such an important part of starting SW i think!

I joined last week & it was £10, i think thats around £5 less than usual, I also paid for a 5 week countdown so I got a free week. Just hoping all my hard work this week will pay off at WI tomorrow!

Thanks PK... how much was it in total including the 5 week countdown? I think I need 5 [STRIKE]month[/STRIKE] year countdown with how much I've got to lose!

Ickle steps though... ickle steps :rotfl:

Sadly they dont do 5 year countdowns...i asked! I have a LOT to lose, but ickle steps is the way to go!

Cant totally remember how much it was, i think £9.50 to join & my 1st week & then paid for 5 more with 1 free about £24 so around £34 to join and 7 weeks of weigh ins.

    Hi all

just coz there seems to have been quite a few newcomers to the thread I would mention the spreadsheet I have created and if anyone who hasn't already gots it wants a copy drop me a PM with your pseudo, name and email address and I wills end youa copy.

below is the intro I send with it to give you an outline of what is on it:

The layout is currently (as at 2008 Dec 17) :

1st Sheet - A menu Page with clickable links to take you to a particular part of the sheet

2nd sheet - a list of foods I can have as treats ranging from free foods, through low/lowish syns and through to higher syns but irresistible (good example is the WW double choc muffin dessert - delicious and 8.5 syns)

3rd-6th sheets - food diary with formulae in place to keep running total on syns consumed in a 7day span - one sheet per week - they start on a Friday as Thursday is my weigh in day.

7th Sheet - A walking log - here you can track length of time, distance, steps and calories burnt if you go walking or running to help your weight loss along.

8th Sheet - some useful links for things Slimming world related or of interest to those looking to loose weight

9th sheet - an example of a partially completed food dairy so you can see how I have used it/how it works.

10th Sheet a targets sheet if you want to set yourself targets you can see how many days you have left and how many pounds left to loose to hit target.

To create more blank sheets for your own use - just highlight the cells needed from the blank sheet - i.e. A1 - E91 select copy and then paste into a new sheet - you can do this repeatedly to create more sheets, or another way you could use this (and of course it's up to eachj individual how they want to use it) - is to use one workbook for each month if you wanted to keep them - to do this just save the file with a new name (save as) and for eg call it Slimming World Jan 2009 or similar, use the newly named file and keep the original as a template and then you could do this for each month of the year.

If you have a Google account (Gmail/Googlemail and Docs) you can import the file into google docs which will make the sheet accessible from any computer - I have done this - this also gives the ability , should you have any reason for wanting to do so, to share the file with others. It is also very easy indeed to create additional sheets in Google docs.

***LEGAL STUFF - please be aware if you intend accessing a Google version at work most employers have policies in place regarding access of non work related websites - in extreme cases this could lead to dismissal.

SO BE AWARE IF YOU USE THIS SHEET ON GOOGLE DOCS AT WORK - YOU DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK

    end of legal stuff ***

If you have any feedback I would love to hear it also any suggestions for any enhancements/development would be keenly invited as I may make this a work in progress and add more functionality to it.

Hope you find it useful and once again thanks for showing interest in it

Could someone please check for me is the Asda good for you cottage cheese free? And does anyone know the syns for a Caramac bar? I am so sorry to me a p.i.t.a but my consultant has not came back to me with the password.

Hope you are all having a good night
