  • hi there, ive got some books from ebay..what books would you recommend for counting everyday syns list/ready made food syns?
    thank you!

You need the food directory for that, but it always goes for stupid money on eBay. They are £6.95 in group.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Do you think homemade chicken stock (made without any fat) is free on green and red?
i've got some in the fridge and fancy making risotto tonight but i'm on a green day...

You have done what you could.

Forget them as soon as you can."
  • gosh, its quiet here today.

npsmama - I wuold use it on either day if you have chilled and skimmed any fat that surfaces. Chicken and beef bovril are superfree, so I would count the homemade equivalent at superfree also.

sorry if I'm too late.... :o

    .....

I have only had chips once this last year (don't do green days) and after reading about this on the OS board http://www.tefalactifryuk.co.uk/compare_Tefal_ActiFry_prices.asp , bought one today.
Tonight we had chips 1kg in weight made with 1 tablespoon of oil.
    I must quickly add I didn't eat the whole 1 kg :)
I really enjoyed them and feel very full and satisfied now.
It cook loads of food almost fat free, so I am hoping its going to be a good investment to my diet.

Please be careful. I loved my actifry and the chips were gorgeous. Then yesterday it exploded, today I had my money back. Look at this

Hello all - haven't been on for a while. Regular SW fans will know that, I HAVE "PLATEAUED" FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS and it was getting me down.

Watching the pennies like everyone else on here and have now stopped going to SW classes. I have been going for nearly a year so they haven't done bad out of me.;)

I have joined an exercise group (just once a week) and we have a good workout which I really enjoy. So I'm spending my money on this instead of SW. I also still walk and cycle so am concentrating on feeling fit and IF any more weight comes off that will be a bonus. :j

I am still following the SW eating plan because I do feel good on it. I plan to weigh myself just once a week at home.

I still feel disappointed that my SW consultant was not much help to me (despite being a long term member who stayed for the whole session, which many don't.)

I shall still look in and see how all the "old names" are doing and how much weight you've lost. :A

like you I haven't been here for ages but pop in now and again to read some posts. I only weigh myself at home like you and no longer go to classes. I was horrified to read that your consultant wasn't helping you/giving you advice. That is awful. good luck.

Hey all - just catching up on the thread - I have been away eating the most delicious gluten-free food ever (but not Food Optimising for one minute...ooops....).

Flat Eric - I know I'm a bit late - but can I just say that you are the most impressively organised person ever! I read your list of steps you were taking - wow! :T

I might be to late nic if you've already gone but if she's a snob I'd take the cakes but put them in a container rather than take the packet, wait till she likes them then tell her they're WW :D

I thought of that lol, but ended up taking some posh cookies intending to just have one. But when I got there turns out she has given up cakes and biscuits for lent, so they stayed in the bag and ill give them to my sister when I see her tomorrow. In the end I only had a coffee :D

  • The things I learned last night -

That it is a good thing gin is 2.5 syns rather than wine at 6 syns, and that slimline tonic is free.

That in a 'rounds' situation, you end up drinking more than you planned to.

That there is a good reason I am not yet hungover - because I am still probably drunk.

That chinese food in a group situation is never as good as it should be.

I (think) I had 10 G&T last night. That will be 25 syns. If I had had wine it would have been 60 syns

I am back on track today. promise :A

    have a nice sunday y'all
