Good Morning, I couldn't post yesterday as the internet was playing up for me but I did OK on the SW front. I ended up eating up some pre-SW Vegetable Ravioli for lunch but have no idea of sins there.

Flat Eric - is there a soup kitchen or homeless shelter that you could give the unwanted food too - I'm sure they'd welcome it. your big post full of ideas was great - very inspiring. I don't think I've come across Success express yet though- must spend more time on the website.

Hello Millymoomoo, I know how baby weiht sticks around - well done for getting into it after just a year - my DD is now over 3!

today is a red day for me.

BF - shredded wheat and milk (HEB, A)
Lunch - Ham salad sandwich - WM bread as HEB
Dinner - chicken stir fry wih lots of veg.

Sins Mayo - 4, will prob have glass of wine tonight.
I promised the kids Dominoes pizza for dinner tonight as they have a friend staying so will really need to resist picking at that:eek:
  • Can anyone give me some ideas of which veg are good ones for success express? I feel the need for a couple of these days this week. Its superfree food isn't it, the magic 2/3? So i'm thinking lots of veg with pasta or sausages on the 1/3, but which veg? hmm.

I'm trying a week of having my syns daily not saving for the weekend, and today's dilemma is donut or drinks, donut or drinks.... :rotfl:

ALL superfree fruit and veg is great on SE. Obviously S or SS ones are the pick of the bunch, but all others are fab. Obviously you are not using 'free' veg (inc pots, peas, parsnips, sweetcorn etc) but everything else if wonderful.

If I were you I would fill your trolley/basket with whatever is good value where you shop - you will be buying a lot of it

Oh, and DRINKS everytime for me

:D In contrast to the above post, here is your connundram of the day!

Unfortunately over the months, I seem to have stockpiled quite a bit of food in my cupboards that isnt sw friendly. to give you an example, I have 3 tins of heinz soup, 2 of which are 17.5 syns each!

No-one other than me will eat them so...

    (a) do I give them away? ok not very money saving but out of sight... out of mind ...

    (b) keep them and just enjoy as an occasional treat.....

Your thoughts / suggestions welcomed :D

similarly I have lots of stir fry sauces in the packets which average 10 syns each!! what do i do with these?

The soups I would use as a base for a casserole or stew or even as part of a shepards pie, that would easily make 4 -6 portions to be eaten or frozen for later - that would keep the syns down to 3 or 4 per portion. Same with the stir fry - cook a meal for 4 and is only 2,5 syns each or use half a packet for 2 and freeze the rest of the sauce to use next time!
When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!
  • For guys who are finding it tough, I always find money gives me a kick up the bum if I'm straying.

Get your SW book out and look at your weight losses.
How many weeks have you been at class?
Work much money have you paid during this time?
How much weight have you lost overall?
Does it meet your expectations? (I set myself at least a lb per week overall).
Are you at your lowest weight ever? If not, how many weeks have passed since you were and how much money have you spent since then.

I know money isn't everything, but I can only justify the cost of my class to myself if I'm getting somewhere and sometimes the hard reality of how I'm doing has to be seen in black and white.

Flat Eric - I love your stars. I have started putting my weight loss up at work on my window, though I'm adding for each lbs I lose instead of taking away. It was great to come in today and cut out and put another one up. I have mine at work and not at home, as this is where the temptations are for me. I love my stars and I've worked hard for all of them and hope to fill up one of my windows as soon as possible.
Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!
  • Ooooh Happy Birthday TiggerLilly :D

_party_ _party_ _party_ _party_ _party_ _party_ _party_ :bdaycake:

Hope that you have had a fab day!

Have you been a 'good' birthday girl, or am I right in remembering that all food is zero syns on your (official :rotfl: ) birthday? :D

Actually having celebration meal tonight, so it will 0 syns for all i eat and drink then.:D
Just because your paranoid does not mean they are not out to get you ! :rotfl:
  • what do you guys eat for lunch , i work fulltime , i do have access to a microwave .
i need some idesa and like to do mainly green days

I like the uncle ben's express microwave rice, they have syns, but the mushroom is only 2 syns on green for the whole pouch.

here are a few others with fairly low syns for whole pack
    Chinese style- 2.5 green
    Golden vegetable- 2.0 green
    Lemon & rosemary- 2.0 green
    Mexican style- 3.0 green
    savoury chicken- 2.0 green
    Thai curry rice-2.5 green
Just take care as some of the others in same range are 5 syns and above.

Also you could do cous cous, or the 1% fat mug shots
Or jacket spud with all sorts of toppings. Hope these ideas help.:D
