I'm sticking to my diet (as usual), on SE this week but really felt hungry today so swopped to a EE day.
Is this now going to muck me up again for this week?
I have only had chips once this last year (don't do green days) and after reading about this on the OS board http://www.tefalactifryuk.co.uk/compare_Tefal_ActiFry_prices.asp , bought one today.
Tonight we had chips 1kg in weight made with 1 tablespoon of oil.
I must quickly add I didn't eat the whole 1 kg
I really enjoyed them and feel very full and satisfied now.
It cook loads of food almost fat free, so I am hoping its going to be a good investment to my diet.

I have fancied one for a while, but cannot justify the cupboard space. I shall happily enjoy yours vicariously.0 -
Morning all,
I ended up having a bottle of wine last night, i have been trying to just have my syns each day rather than save them. But ill try an take the wine (24 syns) into account until Tue and just have less. But instead of the usual big bag of kettle chips or sensations we just had a packet of french fries each and a huge pile of sw chips with homemade free salsa and fromage frais YUM. So I dont feel too guilty.
Im going to visit a friend today with the kids, we havnt met in a while but usually whoever is visiting brings the 'treat' for the cuppa. I normally bake a banana bread or scones. Do you think she would mind WW carrot cake slices? These are only 2 1/2 syns each and really yummy. Shes a bit of a snob lol and she normally brings posh cookies etc. Im really trying hard this week to stick to the plan, but still trying to enjoy myself. and at the moment im still happy that my syns will still be within the weekly limit by Tue, but im worried that if I end up having a cake or a cookie I dont know the syn value of ill just say 'stuff it' and that will be the end of my good week, it doesnt take much to throw me off:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Angie the Marlin was absolutly gorgoues. Really meaty but not too fishy. Id definently recommend trying it, the way we did it was also lovely with the tomatoes etc and popped in the oven for a bit. But id definently leave it quite pink in the middle (like tuna) as we had 4 pieces, 2 were thick and 2 thinner, the thick ones were cooked to perfection and really moist, the thinner ones were cooked the whole way through and starting to go a bit drier. But on the whole it was a lovely dinner and nice for a wee change. We are going to try venison tonight. Ive had it loads of times eating out but not very often in the house.angie_loves_veg wrote: »nic - what is marlin like? is it a whole fish or a fillet - white or oily?
I always like to find out about something new!:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Good morning everyone.
Well I have been trying very hard this week after my weight gain last WI. I'm still doing EE but I have to say that I don't lose weight so easily on EE that on Green. However, I feel more normal on EE as there is very little weighing.
My plan for today is as follows:-
B. Allbran HEB
Smilk HEA
s. Banana (1) free
L. HM vegetable soup (2) free
1/2 Muller light yoghurt & Strawberries (3) free
s. 2 Satsumas (4) free
D. Chilli con carne ( tomatoes, onions, carrots (5) free
Rice free
s. 1/2 Muller light yoghort and banana (6) free
Plus up to 15 syns on whatever takes my fancy - maybe some bread with my soup.
The numbers are so I can keep track of my 5 or more fruit & veg.
Hope you all have a successful day.

I might be to late nic if you've already gone but if she's a snob I'd take the cakes but put them in a container rather than take the packet, wait till she likes them then tell her they're WW0 -

You are meant to have between 5 and 15 syns a day and if you have several stones to lose, you would do well to start with the full 15.
I know and I try really hard. I'm a vegetarian and don't eat breakfast in the week as I just can't eat that early, I would naturally have brekkie around 10am so I take fruit and yougurt to work (all free). I don't drink tea or coffee so don't use a milk allowance. For lunch I would have something free like jacket potato with beans, sin free quiche with salad, can of spaghetti, mug shot and salad etc etc. For dinner it's again something sin free like home made curry and rice, courgette risotto, quorn sausage dinner, quorn sausage and pasta, pasta with sauce made from passata. I then have HE as a snack before bedtime, so no room for sins anywhere unless they are part of the main food diet, ie black olives in my pasta sauce, creme fraiche in my curry to make it creamy, salad dressings etc.
Sometimes it gets to around 9pm and I have had perhaps 1 HEA (cheese) and nothing else HE wise. I find myself eating for the sake of eating, when I am not even hungry, and that just doesn't seem right. Last night I had a glass of wine for 6 sins just for sake of getting my sins up to 10.5.
I know it's only week 3 for me, but I think I need to structure my eating better and incorporate HE into my plan earlier in the day. I do like the Real Food Corn thins (and you are allowed 5 as a HEB), but these with cheese spread just wouldn't fill me up for my lunch. Perhaps I need to look at these with either a salad or a mug shot.
Thanks for the advice, it's really made me think and come up with all of the above.:hello:0 -

I eat mainly green days as seem to be going back to being a vegetarian, used to be years ago and gone off meat and fish again recently. I found I maintained for a couple of weeks and felt it was due to bloating but I lost 3lb last week and another 1lb this week (did have meal out last week so pleased with this!).
You need to be having HE and syns to lose weight but I do know what you mean about feeling like you're eating for the sake of it. I'm eating so much more now than I used to, I'm on week 8 now. If I have a mug shot for lunch I have a HEb with it too. This week I've had 3 Pagen Krisprolls and laughing cow with a mug shot so got both a HEb and HEa in.
For your syns is there something you would have eaten before SW that you don't now? Or is there quorn products that are syns that you could have with your tea to get them that way? My syns vary depending on whether I want chocolate, wine, crisps or even takeaway or a meal out.
Stick with it and your body will get with it and you'll begin to lose0 -
unfortunately its not the same as WW. There is no way of working out the syns. Erm maybe go to one class just to pick up the books you need? or you can pay to join online but i think its pretty costly! (you have to book up for so many weeks)
thank you!:beer:0
