    Hi all

I am starting from tomorrow because I am back at work and can find it a lot easier to focus and not be tempted to eat. I don't have much free time to go off and have snack during work.

I haven't yet found my SW guide, can anyone advise if the following is okay to have for lunch?

Soya beans, peas and sweetcorn (all from frozen) with a teaspoon of balsamic dressing.

The night before work I pour the vegs into a lunch box straight from the freezer and add the dressing.
By morning the vegs have thawed and it only takes 2 mins max to put together.

I have been having this for lunch through the week for a few months along with a pack of quavers (can anyone remind me what the current syn value is?)

Although this is healthy it is the evening meal and the snacks that I have eaten that have made me put on weight!

I am not the best at cooking so from tomorrow I will probably tend towards the rice packets and pasta with tinned tomatoes for an evening meal and hopefully a week later I should have lost something! :j

I want to start going to my local SW club on Weds, how do I go about this? Do I just turn up?

Yes, all you need to do is turn up and make the consultant aware that you are new and they will sit down with you and other newbies whilst current members are being weighed and go through the SW guide etc.

    Good evening everyone,

    A lapsed SW devotee here...

Can I come back and re-join you all here again? - I used to post back along but then got too busy, a bit ill, life (and christmas!) got in the way so SW went to pot...... I'm sure that some of you have been there too.

My eating's gone a bit mad over Xmas so I've put on quite a bit of weight and have even less clothes that fit me:eek: . However, I'm determined to get back on track and i weighed myself today.

I had been doing the online but they have cancelled my subs (because I didn't log in often enough I guess) so I shall have to pay to re-join

I don't know anything about the Extra easy thing yet although it was mentioned in the January magazine so I'll try and read as much as possible but until then it'll be red and green for me.

Good to see all the familiar faces here, I shall do my best to catch up with you all.

Hi all, having seriously fallen off the wagon over the Christmas break ( dread to think what the weight gain has been!) I am nearly at the end of my first chocolate free day since Christmas eve. Hey, it may not sound much but it has been a real battle and I'm feeling very pleased with myself. I'm also really chuffed to have found you all again, somehow I managed to lose this thread and I've really missed the motivation it gives me.
Hi to all the newcomers and to the rest of you I'm pleased to se you all sticking with it. Right I need to do some serious catching up now that I've found you again! Crikey you lot can natter!!!

Anyone who's starting at a new group this week can I just say - turn up early! The 'new years resolutions' make the first few classes of the year VERY busy and the consultant has to get through everyone plus her usual crowd. (If you stick with it you'll see people fall by the wayside - but that won't be you will it ;) )

Got OH to agree to cook every Monday night so I will now be able to stay to class and come home to a tasty meal! :j Duck risotto tomorrow night!

Just planning our summer hols - we're going to drive to Italy and stay in Sorrento - I'm so excited and will this be the first year I wear a bikini? :o

I'd better get there straight after work on Wednesday then! I know from my last time that even though the classes started at 7pm a lot of the regulars seemed to turn up a good hour early to help out and to have a gossip.

At my first class I used to take the money for WI and do the shop - it was great fun. Most classes get 40/50 new people the first few weeks of the NY! It was utter chaos at my old class but it calmed down after a month or so and you got to know the 'regulars' really quickly!
