As the weather is so cold I've thought of getting some soups for lunch at work. I can make soup, but sometimes I'd like a carton or tin to take with me. What are some good (veggie) ones that are lowish in syns? I suspect my favourite ones aren't!I saw two shooting stars last night
I wished on them, but they were only satellites
It's wrong to wish on space hardware
I wish, I wish, I wish you'd care0 -
I think writing down is the key thing, after being disappointed last week I have religiously written down everything that has passed my lips. I ate out twice yesterday and was so conscious of everything as I didn't want to waste a syn! To the extreme that I actually had an Americana in Costas rather then a skinny Latte to save a couple of syns, had lunchtime Arrabiata Chicken pasta in Pizza Hut that calculated to 3 syns and a roast chicken dinner in Sainsburys leaving the chicken skin and roast potatoes, both of which I would have usually eaten
Even though I have been so good my halo is shining I still dont feel I will lose this week, especially as I am due on as well, but I am going to try hard to stay motivated but I understand a bit where you are coming from SC. I go to class with my mum and OH and both lose really well and I dont, I have to work for every 1lb and put on if I look at a bun! I think all the money I have paid I should have lost more and then I feel I am letting myself down, so its a nasty circle! People here love you and will support you through anything, and people here also need your support to as you are a very motivational person from the posts I have read. Come back soon before your inbox gets filled to overflowing (((((((Hugs)))))))0 -
, had lunchtime Arrabiata Chicken pasta in Pizza Hut that calculated to 3 syns
Edit: Wow just ran the arrabiata dinner version and it comes out at 5.5 syns!! wow!0 -
 Is this available at dinner as well? It may save my big pizza express dilemma, and we've now decided to go to pizza hut because I said I didn't want pizza express
Edit: Wow just ran the arrabiata dinner version and it comes out at 5.5 syns!! wow!
Yeah, its very spicy as well so rather delish! I ran the Alfredo has well and that came out as something silly as 3.5 syns, which makes me wonder if there is a misprint as that's the one in the white sauceAlthough to be honest I cant say any of the others come out disasterously high either, I remember them all being under 15 syns, makes you wonder what sorts of 'freshness' they are .. they are probably just posh Pasta n Sauces :rotfl:

That's fine as long as I can eat there without blowing my diet!! :P
Because I never want to say no to going out for a meal or something, because I don't go clubbing or anything, but equally I don't want to ruin my diet, as I find it is becoming of increasing importance.0 -
Northernlass walks in sheepishly:o
Hi everyone, can i come back please??? I have been a regular poster on the DFW SW group along with a couple of others on here but i think i need more support...

Welcome back Northernlass, I wouldn't worry too much. I'm sure many of us have been in your position, the important thing is that you've recognised the problem and are going to try and do something about it. Like you said we're only a click away. When Life Throws You Lemons Make Lemonade0

Good morning everyone. Very successful day yesterday but it was only damage limitation on a bad week. Visitors for 4 days and my resolve goes out of the window as my WI this PM will no doubt show. BTW I agree with Ossiero about writing everything down. It confirms your commitment andf keeps you on the straight and narrow. However, now that I am retired, I find my memory is not what it used to be; so I write it down straight away. Well plan for today is:-
Breakfast: Cereal & skimmed milk
Snack: ML Yoghurt& raspberries
Lunch: Vegetable soup
Snack: Banana
Dinner: Roast pork (no fat)
Gravy from yesterday's casserole
Potatoes
Carrots & leeks
Snack: ML yoghurt & apple

SpiritoftheSouthWest –love your username, that’s where I am too J
Kandipandi – which Bowyers sausages are only 1 syn please?
Skint Katt – I don’t get on here very often but when I do you always have a helpful answer for me. I can well understand your frustration, I remember being in a class once where the leader asked everyone what their aims were. One person said she wanted to lose a stone by her daughters wedding in a couple months, another said half a stone a month etc etc. I said I’d be happy to lose a pound a month because even just doing that & keeping it off I would eventually get to the weight I wanted. Of course nobody took me seriously, they didn’t understand that even that would be an achievement for me, every week was a struggle just not to put on let alone lose.
As someone else said, you haven’t put on, for some of us that is a success. I gave up dieting for many years as I felt it was unachievable.
Some may not agree with me but perhaps you should forget about dieting for a couple of weeks & then come back with a fresh outlook on things & a new determination. However don’t give up indefinitely – you may put on lots more like me!0
