sorry Marion and Skintcatt that things haven't gone well. I've started writing everything I eat but not using the SW forms. I have divided notebook pages for each day into columns: Superfree/Free/HEA/HEA/Syns and I write under each one the various components of a meal. That way i can easily see that my Superfrees are more than my Frees, and that both are way more than my syns. It makes it easier for me, I don't know if it would help you?

Lo, good luck for the procedure

I like this - its a brilliant idea. I will change it a little bit (it's what I do:o) and continue to keep my diary on SW site but I will put a list of super free foods on my fridge door, store cupboard etc., and will ensure that every meal I eat has superfree foods in it. Thanks for that!

    Marion

Not so good today. Pizza Hut buffet lunch, consisting of two small slices of medium veggie supreme and two small slices of medium marghertita + a portion of cheese and broccolli pasta, with salad(!) Any ideas on synage?

Oh dear today doesn't sound like a good day for anyone!

The veggie supreme is 13.5 syns per slice (on either day)
The Margherita is 13 syns per slice

The pasta isn't listed though, sorry!
  • Hi everyone,

I have been following slimming world now for 4weeks (as of tomorrow) and am just doing the extra easy plan. So far am 5.5lbs down a slow but steady weight loss which I am happy with.

I can't afford to go to classes but I am being weighed in at work by my boss who has been going to slimming world for some time!

Today I am off work because I managed to slip down the stairs yesterday and now can't move very easily so have had plenty of time to read all through this site and get some amazing tips ansd recipe ideas so thanks to you all :T .

So my menu plan for today is:

B - mullerlight yogurt and toast with quark and marmite (free and healthy B)
L - was going to be jpot but after reading about it had to have syn-free pancakes - thanks retiredlady! - and maple syrup (4 syns)
    D - spaghetti bolognese

    Snacks - chicken, supernoodles
Drinks - water and tea (healthy A)

Not the healthiest but feeling a bit sorry for myself. Will also probably have some chocolate maybe a fudge bar (6syns). I can't do without chocolate so I try to plan it in each day so I don't end up binging. I keep it in the boot of my car so I have to go out in the cold to get any outside my allowance - works well as a deterrent! :rotfl:
    Start weight - 13st 6lbs
    First goal weight - 11st 13lbs

    Current weight - 12st 6lbs

Still following the plan though so well done! Hope you feel better soon!!
Good idea about keeping the chocolate in the boot. My car at home is a good 2mins (haha) walk away, but if it was dark and cold I would think twice!
  • Yeah it doesn't always work but in weather like this it does :p
    Start weight - 13st 6lbs
    First goal weight - 11st 13lbs

    Current weight - 12st 6lbs
  • Mirry,

Just wanted to say thanks for the above info! I love gingerbread latte's which my OH makes for me at home. I can use the milk as my HEA but up to now have had to syn the syrup - free from now on :j :j :j

Just had my gym induction..eep it's a pretty serious gym. There is a womans only gym open for a couple of hours a day though that is a bit brighter and filled with less testosterone but I think I'm going to have to grit my teeth!
Going to go after my tutorial which finishes at 7pm tonight, will try to stay for half an hour/45mins even if I'm only walking.
I found a couple of plans designed for people doing no exercise to over a period of time building up to 5km, so I will see how I get on today then decide which week to start from.

Sc ....come back we love and need you.....you are this thread.........

..brave the weigh in ...see what the consultant has got to say ......then

    report back.......please......
  • Marion, you know where you've been "going easy" so do exactly as you say you are going to do and I'm sure that gain will be back off in a flash. :T

SC, you have been a compelete rock to everyone else on this thread so please stay with us and see what we can do for you. Will you do me a favour and come online and post after your WI? That way you don't have to worry about crying in front of anyone cos we can't see you, ;) but there are plenty of members on here who can give you very real and meaningful support. Remember that 0.5lbs might not show on your home scales so don't obsess about weighing yourself at home, but go to your WI with an open mind and fill your cuboards with speed foods for this week ahead.

I say all this from a not exactly saintly position :o of having decided to completely ignore the fact that I am on SW today as my work had booked us all a subway buffet for lunch - I haven't even counted, and it included their gorgeous cookies! I hope all is not lost for WI tomorrow night though as the rest of the week I have only had 40 syns, so hopefully today's *mentally counts* 5 1/4 subway sandwiches and cookie won't be too much over 30 by the time I've taken into account that there are no syns in salad or meat, so its only the cheese (I won't have any HEa's today), bread and cookie that will be syns.

I feel awful for it though, I've had loads of caffiene today and all that bread & sugar I'm not used to having has given me a cracking headache! I'm craving my SW friendly dinner (vege chilli) to get some "real" food into me.
