Wooo one of my lectures with the worlds biggest cow ("I'M A LAWYER.I'M VEIN. I LIKE TO HEAR THE SOUND OF MY OWN VOICE, NOT YOURS"..she actually said that) has been cancelled.
:D:D
I have extreme maths this morning at 10am, and I can't decide if I should eat breakfast now or when I get back
Friday's are tricky for me. I have had a mcdonald's every Friday for a very, very long time and I feel hard done by not eating one. Wish there was a chinese takeaway nearby, but there isnt. Maybe I will have chips and beans and quorn sausages :cool:0 -
Morning all!
We have had it all this morning - woke in in a mega hail storm, then it rained for a bit, now we are in a mega snow storm... DD should be at school, but they will only send her home in an hour or so, so she is here with me..

Morning all!!
Well, yesterday went ok for me! I actually stuck to plan 100%!! And I made it to my second Bodyattack class too!I've only done 2 gym classes this week, but I still have 'til Monday before my week is officially over, so I'm sure I'll fit more in before then!
I'm really pleased with myself, as I haven't had any "rubbish" at all this week, and haven't even had the urge!! - Although I'm sure that won't last! Tonight and tomorrow will be my big challenge!!
As for today's plan, I'm still in bed and really don't wanna get up - so I've not thought that far ahead yet!!
Have a good day everyone!!
xx
Oh - and as for the drinking 2L's everyday (sorry I can't remember who actually asked), the idea of drinking 2L's of water every day dates back to the 60's, and is based on the fact that you need to replace the 2L's of water that your body dispels every day in order to keep your cells healthy. However, scientists now, believe that rather than an intake of 2L's of water every day, it is simply 2L's of fluid we need to ingest, which includes fluid from food, drinking and even the air we breathe (to a very minor extent!). So getting fluid from water, tea juice etc all counts towards your daily intake!
Having said that, I do personally drink 2L's of water per day, purely because I find my skin/eyes etc are clearer when I do (since it flushes all the crap through a bit quicker), plus there's all the extra calories burned off by running to the toilet every 5 mins!If you can, drinking water is obviously best as there are no toxins or additives in it which is easier for your liver and kidneys to cope with - but any fluid is better than none!
Personally, I quite like a pint of Sparkling water with the juice of half a lemon squeezed into it (the bubbles fill me up and stop me being hungry, and the lemon gives it a bit of flavour - although maybe that counts as syns, but I only have maybe 1 lemon per day so I don't really count it, as to me it hardly qualifies as "juicing" it)
Anyway - sorry for the ramble - science lesson over!!

I am off to weigh myself in an hour. Wish me luck I have tried so hard this week
Minor problem though... I don't *actually* know my start weight. I know what I was, then I stopped the plan for a week, so I am guessing I went back and put the 2lbs I lost back on. I am going to use that as my estimate...!0 -
Hi everyone
I've just found your forum and can't belive what I have been missing!
I went to SW a few years ago and did really well, I lost just short of 5 stone but...I stopped going and did keep the weight off until last summer. I have major problems with my hips and feel like i'm 100, I've gone from doing competetive dancing and riding my horses everyday to an almost sedintary lifestyle, needless to say, the pounds started piling on. I had major surgery on one of my hips on New Years Eve and now can't put any weight through that leg at all, I can't do much for myself so I decided that it was time that I went back to SW or I knew that I would put even more weight on.
So, here I am. I just wanted to say thankyou as you have soooo much great advice here and it has really spurred me on reading through over the past couple of days, I know I can do this again and it's great to know that I'm not on my own.:j

Hi,
Can I join you??
I've been doing sw for about 3 months now and have lost 1st 3lbs so far. Hopefully another 1 1/2 - 2 stone to go!
I love sw, I need to be able to have something nice I can eat - it's psychological I know. I think it's the rebellious teen left in me.
Anyway, I'm a busy working mum to 3 (aged 19-2 1/2) and I'm getting married in June. Contrary to most peoples belief - I'm not losing weight because I'm getting married. Drives me nuts when people assume that!!
I manage quite well during the week, but weekends are my downfall and will power is sorely lacking since Christmas. We also have a lot of social type things coming up. Doesn't help does it?!!
Hope to get to know you all!

I am soooooo proud of myself I have lost at LEAST 2lbs. I say at least., because like I said I didn't weigh myself the week i came off slimming world completely. So, the last time I weighed myself was after a week of slimming world, and I have lost 2lbs on that weight. So, assuming I didn't put ANY weight on the week I wasn't on SW (unlikely, but not impossible) I have lost 2lbs.
:D:D:D
So happy. I was really worrying because I, like many others, was falling into the self doubt trap of thinking that if you are full and happy you can't be loosing weight!
And hello and welcome Claire!0 -
Thanks Jemma!
Well done 2lbs is a fab loss :j.
I had one of those will I /won't I weeks too - and lost 1.5lbs.0
