Can i ask a couple of q's please, some of you seem to save your syns for the weekend, is this now ok because when i was going to class you were advised to use syns daily as if you keep them for the weekend you may undo all your work during that week.
when drinking 2ltr of water per day can you have it with juice (ribena) or has it just got to be plain water (yuck)
hope my menu plan is ok.
Thanks biker xx0 -

There seem to be 2 schools of thought, or rather 3 actually. One says have 70 or whatever syns per week, and count down as you use them, so you could have 60 on Saturday etc. Others say no, just write it off if you go over. Slimming World's offical stance is now to have a flexible day where you still count syns, but set a higher limit (eg if you were to go out for a curry, setting yourself a limit of 40 syns) and still counting, even if you go over that upper limit.0 -
bikerchix - I add sugar free squash (free) to my water for a bit of variation!
The old way used to be saving your syns for a night out/weekend, but the current version should be 'flexible' syns in that you still hav up to 15 everyday, then set yourself a higher amount for your night out/weekend - keep counting and stay within the limit you can set (yes it can be anything from 20 - 120!). Then just get back to normal the next day. it means you're always concious of what you're having - a better long term method than 'saving' all week and 'binging'.

I heard on QI that fluid is fluid, you can drink whatever and it has the same hydrating properties. Stephen Fry said it, it must be true0

jemmabe & skint-cat.
Thanks for the quick help i forgot about flexible syns & it is sf ribena i have at work,
I drink diet coke at home but will have more water at home,
Biker xx0 -
Thanks for that JemmaBe
Ok so that was 17 syns for today so slightly over the guided 15 but I failed to eat my 2nd hea and heb.
What should I do eat them or not worry.0 -
studentgirl, if you can fit it in then you should have the HEB
Biker - I have 1 litre water/squash at work in the morning, then Diet coke in the afternoon (my 'fix') then squahs or other Diet pop at home all evening. As Stephen Fry said 'fluid is fluid'0 -
Eat them! You need the fibre to... get rid of those 17 syns.0
