I've maintained this week, no surprise at all considering the amount of crap I've eaten. When it's cold and snowy healthy food doesnt really appeal somehow!

At least I havent gained though, plus once the snow has gone I'll get out there running again.

I've just put some fish fingers in the oven as I really fancy some comfort food!

I think I remember seeing an article about SW friendly comfort type foods on the website so I think thats going to be next port of call tonight!

  • so - today's eating has gone ok so far:

b: 1 nectarine (free), WW Yoghurt (Free)
l: Pasta and Sauce (Free + HEA as used Milk), 6 Crackerbreads (HEB's), with Flora Light (3 Syns), handful of cherry toms.
d: HM Soup (Still to have..), with 2 slices WM Toast (HEB), and 1/2 pint of Milk (HEA)

The plan was to have my bigger meal earlier on, since I didn't have lunch til 4pm, go to a gym class tonight, then have the soup when I got home, but man am I struggling with the motivation to go back out! Suppose I should go get ready -hhhmmmmppphhh!!

Im looking forward to a big pile of sausages and mash later in the week :j its all I want at the moment - comfort food :D what with the horrid cold weather etc.

Today I was meant to be getting back on track but we had a second redundancy consultation meeting so Im feeling pretty fed up and have slighty synned! (ok totally synned!) :rotfl: Tomorrow is a new day however and Im thinking of having a read through my book later and planning some meals including the magic one third of plate or more to be superfree as has been mentioned recently :j

    have a good evening everyone.

Thanks Nic, I've been reading the comfort food features on the SW website and getting some inspiration for cheap and tasty filling foods that I know I really love.

I'm not giving up with this, I really really want to drop at least a stone by the summer so I can look good in my holiday pics!

:hello: Been good today - called into the supermarket on my way home to pick up some steak to go with my SW chips for dinner and didn't pick ANYTHING up that I shouldn't have! I did look but didn't buy! :T Still doesn't mean I'll lose anything, but it's quite an achievement for me! OH is away so it's a danger time for me but i have the lemon meringue ready to go in the oven after my chips & steak!

If anyone has a copy of FF could they please forward it to me? i want to stick it to the kitchen cupboard door. I so do NOT want to go there its untrue, and although I'm not cheating (otherwise I wouldn't be worrying about not losing) I want an incentive just to eat a little less to see if that helps!

    Thanks

    C xx

There is LOADS of comfort food you can have on SW. :T I'm living off it now its winter and its cold!

Chips chips and chips! Chips & (HEa) cheese (ready grated reduced fat cheddar so you can have more ;)), Chips egg & baked beans, and sausages, bacon, mushy peas...

    Chilli - veggie or meaty.
    Burgers - mmmm!
    Pasta bake
    Macaroni cheese
Spaghetti bolognaise - again, meaty or veggie
    Meatballs
Hearty stews/casseroles (e.g. chunky veg, or sausage & bean hotpot)
    Jacket potatoes
.... try this month's magazine for inspiration, it has a feature on take-away foods, homecooked SW style. And if anyone has bought it and can post the recipe for thai cury I would really appreciate it - looks lovely, but I didn't have the pennies to buy the mag last night :o
