    Hi all :hello:

I joined my local group 4 weeks ago and have so far lost 10.5lbs which I am really pleased with. I have just sat and worked out a rough idea of how much I want to lose and it's at least another 100lbs to get me to a healthy weight which is really daunting so I'm going to forget I ever worked that number out. I don't plan to set any kind of actual target for a long time yet, just lots of mini ones!

Thank you for the muller light and rice idea, I made it this afternoon and it was yummy! It's really interesting to read everyones menu plans, pick up ideas and to see how well it is working for you all.
    Hi Bunnyhop

Dont be daunted by that 100lbs - just imagine that you lose 1lb a week every week thats 52lbs in a year - thats more than half your target.
If you lose more than 1lb then thats a bonus!

    Do set yourself mini targets;
I do 1 stone, 2 stone, etc... and Club 10 - 10% of body weight, to give you something to aim at that is closer than the final target.

A quick pop in to see how everyone is doing.
I went away for the weekend for my b/day and had a miserable time, then to top it all I ate Chinese one night and fish & chips another.
Managed to claw back and get back on track, but now feeling even more miserable, didn't even enjoy the food
I didn't go to weigh in this week (got home late & snow), couldn't have faced it anyhow.
I'm really losing the plot over my diet.
Last week you all cheered me up and I thought I could do it, now I'm back to being full of woe about it all.
I can (and mostly do) stick to the diet but because NO weight is coming off I want to chuck it in for good.
I know it doesn't make sense because then I'll put on the 2 st I've lost.
Down in the dumps again and can't shake it off.

    Today I have eaten:

    B) 3 eggs omlette

    L) HM chicken & veg soup

snack) apple, 2 syn free sausages

    D) will be ........ chicken and lemon casserole from last months SW mag & I'm thinking some boiled potato
and make it an EE day???

    Does that sound ok?
    Thanks

    LL

    :bdaycake: Belated Happy Birthday!:bdaycake:

Im sorry you are feeling rubbish now though.

Just a thought but have you considered doing the Fast Forward - this might give your metabloism a bit of a boost and get you back on track.

It also makes you appreciate the plan more when you are back to the normal SW red/gree/ee plans.

I know you have found it difficult to shift the weight and have had to work extra hard to get there, but imagine how much effort you will waste if you give up now - it will all have been for nothing.

Is your Consutant nice ~ i would ring her and have a chat, tell her you are thinking of giving up and she will help im sure, mine is excellent and said that we are to call her rather than give in, and she promises she will not give it the big sell but will try to help.

    Thinking of you :)

    skinto off top head

    2 finger kitkat 5.5syns
    curly wurly 6syns
or crush a scan bran and hold it together with nutella...a tablespoon is 4syns...so its ur call.... think angie/marion or peacy out that recipe up as the SW version of ferrero rocher and its fab! although being as lazy as i am i just spread quarter of a tbsp on a scan bran hence a fab 1.5 syn snack!
    Ferrero Rochers

    Ferrero Rochers

    10 ryvitas = 12 1/2 sins.
    4 tablespoons nutella = 16 sins.

    Crush ryvitas
Warm nutella in microwave for 20 seconds
Mix with ryvitas and put in very small cake cases (they hold about a heaped teaspoon)
This makes about 28 - 30 about 1 sin each
You could freeze them if you don’t trust your self - they are scrummy

HEas are Healthy Extra 'A' choices, and include things like milk and cheese.
HEbs are Healthy Extra 'B' choices, and are your cereals, bread, and normally a small portion of something from the 'other' day (eg meat if you are on green)

My consultant has been saying for about 5 weeks she has a 'plan' for me.
I keep telling her I want to quit because I'm not losing, she says not too, but hasn't given me any extra advice.
I keep a diary and she says they are fine.
2Wks ago she said she was going to give me a plan (which I guess was FF) but then on the night said she didn't have time. Very dissappointing.
My son & his wife started 3 wks ago and she has lost 10lbs and he has lost 1st.
They say I mustn't give up because I inspired them to do it.
Why is it sooooooooooo hard to lose and soooooooo easy to put on?????

  • Hi all,
Today went as planned i feel really pleased with myself, i have loads of grapes to nibble on tonight if i need to, but i dont useually find evenings a problem, gonna go on the wii fit after dh gone to work, will post tomorows meals later, spk later x
  • Oh LL that's disappointing of your consultant. I believe they are supposed to make themselves available out of class too - maybe you could ring or email her and ask her for that plan? Or speak to her as soon as you WI next week?

Do you post your food diaries on here? Maybe we could help?

I lost 1.5lbs last night - wish it had been a bit more but I did nothing special except stuck to the plan, and I know you're not supposed to lose it all too fast. Nearly killed myself in my gym class after WI - Its a dancey type thing and in the 4-5 weeks I've been back I haven't done many of the exercises at a jog ("you can walk it or run it, just keep moving!" - that's our instructor's favourite saying! ). Anyway I jogged a few of them this time, and I think I am the only person in the world to have got highly motivated when the vengabus came on - hence why when the song ended I stopped and realised I had a stitch and felt like I was going to collapse! Oops.

Embarassing situation on the way home though. Popped into the changing rooms to visit the ladies, and realised I had walked into the mens - complete with a man with his trousers around his ankles!! :o  :o

Made my excuses and ran into the right one... only to walk straight into a cubicle with a broken lock straight into some poor lady!

God I hope I don't bump into either of them next week!

Food of the moment for me - bubble and squeak with baked beans. Mmm proper comfort food!!! :T
