estherina35 - spirits are only 2.5syns for 25ml - top up with a free diet mixer and you're well away!

SW don't really emphasis portion control, because the things you are filling up on are filling in themselves. IE you couldn't really eat 15 oranges, but the plan says you could if you wanted to. Think how many calories you'd have taken in if you'd have come back and eaten bread and butter, or cereal. You'd of had more than one serving either way, just this time it is on things that are better for you.
hi guys..im a newbie...dont all boo at once..ha!:j im looking into this diet to give it a go..am currently on weight watchers....but i see it seems you can certainly eat alot more on this programme....but booze wise...we bit !!!!!!ed arent we...any ideas of inspiration ?pleeeeeease ..i dooo like a nice drink or so to chill at end of a working day...x:A
I will refrain from ranting too much about weightwatchers, but yes, you can eat a lot more on SW, but of the right things!
You could have 2 glasses of wine a night (5syns each) or 3 if you have 15 syns a day.
or you could have spirits which are 2.5 syns a measure, and then have that with diet coke.

There's no reason you can't have a drink or two every day with SW, that's what syns are for. IMO it's a much healthier plan than WW where you're allowed to 'spend' your points however you wish..........sadly, many people make very unwise choices.

However, you're definitely going to get far more foods available freely with Food Optimising (SW's plan).

Marion - Is the Caesar dressing worth buying? I love caesar salad, but £1.99 was a lot to spend if it wasnt very good. Im sick of Kraft Italian dressing, its nice but I always have that on my salads.

Nic - I didn't realise you lived in Ayrshire - you're just down the road from me! ;) Well kind of - but I cover our Prestwick branch so I'm down that way at least a few times a week!

You should defo give bodyattack a try, it wasn't nearly as scary as I expected! Some of the routines were a wee bit harder to get to grips with, but she gives alternatives for newbies, which aren't anywhere near as confusing!! My shoulders are really sore today too - but a good pain so I'm quite happy! :D

xx

Im 4 miles form Prestwick in a wee village. I was going to ask where you lived before, I always pictured you as a Glesga lass .

I need to try some sort of excercise. I actually enjoy going to the classes. Ive tried pilates and step, but the routines in that made me look a dafty.
I joined a netball group last year but it was full of young girls of school leaving age. I felt ancient. I enjoyed that but ive moved house since then.

consultant 31 , i got the asda reduced fat egg mayo yesterday is it really free  on E/E please . i can't believe what i can eat :T :T
• I know this has probably been clarified like maybe, what a 1000 times - but can I just ask a quick question,

with EE, do you have to do that every day? Or could you just throw it into the mix and have one now and again?

Also, I've never done Mix to Match before (Is that even what it's called?). Where basically, you can have say a neutral brekkie, green lunch, and red dinner - is that how it works? And does it work?

I'm sure I've said before that I much prefer red days, but mainly for dinner time, I'm kinda thinking on the day that I go to the gym, I could maybe do with a few more carbs, so was thinking of having green lunches, and then red dinners - does that sound as though it would work?

Just a quick question, Can froamge frais be used with sweet stuff? I have just made two savoury dips with fromage frais, but would like to make a sweet dip with leftover froamge frais, is this possible? I was thinking of mixing it with a muller yoghurt and blend with strawberries.

Jolene

Don't think you've had a reply to this question, but yes it's equally at home used in sweet things as savoury.

I make a mousse with sugar-free jelly and f/frais which is always lovely. If you want to freeze a MullerLight, mix with f.frais or plain yoghurt first and it helps to make the Muller go further (they're so expensive when not on offer).

Crap_with_money - you can use any plan, any day........one red. one green. one EE etc. Mix2Max works well, but is a little more complicated than the others I feel. You get both red and green meals on the same day. Well, here's the official explanation:-

Mix2Max

STEP 1:

Choose a Green or Original Meal and stick to your choice while enjoying that meal.
Have up to three meals a day.

Step 2:

Focus on Free Food. Enjoy as much Free Food as you like, either Green or Original from the choice that you have made for that meal.

Step 3:

Choose three or four Healthy Extras each day from either the Green or Original choices to have with meals or as snacks.

Step 4:

For other snacks throughout the day, or for starters or desserts, choose Superfree Foods or count them as syns.

Step 5:

Enjoy Five to 15 Syns per day
If your main course contains any syns then count the syn values appropriate to the Green or Original Choice you are following for that meal.

Note:

On a Mix2Max day everything that you eat apart from your main courses, that is not a Super-free food or a Healthy Extra has syns and you must take the highest syn value whether it is green or original.

lol - almost!! - I'm from Airdrie - so not too far outside!!

Yeah exercise is really my demon! If I'm honest, i'm really just a lazy moo - and would rather do anything but get sweaty and out of breath - that's why I find the classes work quite well for me, cos I'm not left to my own devices! I'm kinda "in the zone" with it just now, where I actually want to exercise - but [STRIKE]sometimes [/STRIKE] most of the time - I just really struggle to get my ar@e moving!

Netball sounds good though, it's one of these things I keep threatening to get back into, but I haven't played since I was at school, and I'd feel a bit of a trumpet going along on my own to something like that!
