I haven't got my book with me at the mo, but if it's free on either green or red then it's definitely free on EE.

    The Slimming World Diet

You are allowed 10 syns per day.
You are allowed 1 healthy extra from A and 1 healthy extra from B (you can have 2 of each but I won’t be)
You are allowed as much free food as you want

    Syns

    Wine, Red wine 175ml – 6 syns
    Wine, Rose wine 175ml – 6 syns
Wine, White wine, dry 175ml – 6 syns
Wine, White wine, sweet 175ml – 8 syns
Lager, branded, Budweiser 330ml bottle – 6 syns
    Spirits, Vodka 25ml – 2.5 syns

    !

You really should be having both HEBs in order to get the nutrients you need to stay healthy and please make sure that you get enough calcium if you're not going to have 2 HEAs (brittle bones are a terrible affliction).

Your syn list made me smile - I bet you like your alcohol :D For anyone who doesn't have a book, there are hundreds more foods you can have as syns and you can have up to 15 a day!

If I could, I'd live off healthy extras! Don't know how people skip them myself!

Hey guys, just checking in. I have been good all week and today i have been bad :(
I had a blazing row with my DH at lunchtime and ate loads of chocolate - i know its a crap excuse and im now very mad with myself!

I weigh in tonight I hope i have not spoilt things - the scales will tell tonight:o .

On another issue, I have been having 2 weetabix every single day for my breakfast (I dont really like having breakfast but I force it in as I know how important it is) , should I be trying to vary this and have different stuff, its about all I can face first thing in a morning?
    Thanks.

Hi Consultant 31 I have a quick question. You say:

You really should be having both HEBs in order to get the nutrients you need to stay healthy and please make sure that you get enough calcium if you're not going to have 2 HEAs (brittle bones are a terrible affliction).

But I have loads of the free dairy foods, muller lights, cottage cheese, natural yog etc, so it it really necessary to have HEA?

I'm getting pretty worried about the way home. I work in the City (london) and i don't normally finish till 6pm. I have to get a 30 minute train and then because the buses are not working i will have to walk for 45 minutes in the snow. Fingers crossed we will beable to leave early. I will kick up a fuss about 4 though as i'm only 21 and i don't think its safe for me to walk in the dark and the snow at about 7:30 - 8pm on my own. Do you think i have a case?

I don't think your age comes into it at all. It's not safe for anyone to walk far in the dark these days. I hope it worked out ok for you and the others who had to go far.

See - there are some compensations to growing older and being retired

No it seems that your HEAs are fine and you'll be getting lots of calcium with the yoghurts etc. It might be a good idea to check the calcium content of the yogs you have to make sure you're getting the recommended amount.

It was the HEBs I was most concerned about - you're supposed to have 2 of them unless you're following the Extra Easy plan (where you get loads of Bs naturally). The Bs are where you get the necessary fibre to keep your bowels healthy. In fact, so important are the Bs that if you're only having a bowl of Bran Flakes, for instance, you should also add a fibrous cracker to make up any deficit.

  • hi guys..thanks for your messages! may i ask what is EE...?

Ha Ha, yeah I only use my syns on alcohol......yeah a few people said that about healthy extras - i'll make sure i do!

2 questions. Firstly these Extra easy days, can i mix and match them with red and green days say in a week. e.g. Monday red day, tues green day, wed ee day??
Secondly Whats the main ingredient for that pudding rice recipe and is it completely syn free?

    thanks
