Made the lemon terrine last night using vanilla with chocolate bits tastes delish, also didn't put any sweetner in as try not to use it(just a thing I've got) tasted really lemony and sharp but not sour. Thanks for the recipes Marion, breakfast rice with Kiwi and toffee muller for breakfast today

  • Morning all

First weigh in tonight! Very scared - I've got butterflies in my stomach just like when I had my driving test!
Been very good during the week but as I posted, had a lovely family dinner on Sunday wiht Pate, Roast Turkey, Veg, HM Gravy and about 5 glasses of wine so we'll see!

Having an EE easy day today with Muller + fruit for breakie, Baked pot + beans for lunch and lloads of lovely HM chilli with SW chips after weigh in!!!

xellieqx - I feel really sorry you. I personally find the whole thing very confusing but I rely more on reading all the helpful posts on here then on my class (It seems a friendly group, don't get me wrong I just don't know them yet!!). Chin up, hope you enjoyed your Nando's and get back on it!!!

Daily eating plan Good morning all, OH got the pavements outside the house and a path to the garage shovelled and salted so I may just make an excursion outside today. Starting to feel a little housebound and it has only been 3 days! Wouldn't make a very good Scott of the Antarctic would I?:rotfl: On a positive note I havn't spent any money:T

    Today I have planned:

Breakfast - bran flakes with milk and strawberries (heb, hea, free)

Lunch - bacon & eggs with hashbrowns (free, free, 3 syns)

Dinner - pasta layer bake (sort of like lasagna but with layers of boiled fusilli instead of lasagna sheets) with brocolli and cauliflower on the side. (Can you tell I ran out of lasagna :rotfl:)

I really need to work on my portion control because I have weighed myself again (I know I shouldn't) and I am not losing anything. Maybe I should come off the EE plan, but I do love it so much, I don't really want to:p. But according to SW I shouldn't need to worry about portions:confused:, and its not that I eat HUGE portions, just the same as the rest of the family and they are all normal size:j.

    What do you think?

    Love
    Marion

Marion - re portions - I know they say don't worry about them, but my problem has always been eating a bit too much of slightly the wrong thing. SW has kept me on the straight and narrow for quite a while now, but old habits are very easy to slip into again aren't they?

If you are worried that EE isn't quite shifting it, there are a couple of strategies we were talking in class about last night -

Ensure that you are using at least 1/3 of your food intake as superfree - remember this could always be increased to 1/2 the plate, or even 2/3 of theplate if you really want to boost your weightloss whilst keeping the red/green comination flexibility of EE (then it actually becomes sucess express).

The advantage of the above is that you still have big plate fulls - just more superfree than free..

Try to vary what you eat on a daily basis - how many different B choices could you use, do you always have the same breakfast etc? Just by changing our 'regular features' can help kick the metabolism into noticing we are doing something different.

Water!!! Drinking 2L a day actually takes a bit of concious effort, and whilst I alsays used to think I was drinking 'plenty' it wasn't til I measured it that I realised quite how much 2L was!!!

Ooooh did I really do all that for you peachy? :o

Well last nights food wasn't all bad - meatballs (thanks EE!) with pasta. The sauce was HM but had marscarpone in it and there was dough balls AND garlic bread (had one of each), and my colleague and I consumed 2.5 bottles of cider each (and no it wasn't Magners Light ) so enough syns for a while!!

Another EE day and I hope to stay syn free to spread out last nights overindulgence! OH away, so that makes it easier too.

    B; egg, beans and mushrooms
L; not entirely sure yet. Maybe pasta with bacon and or sausage chopped in if I have time.
D; I really fancy steak and SW chips/wedges, so might pop into Morrisons on the way home (at the end of my road). Might add peas to make it a proper meal though I don't usually!

Flat Eric I really feel for your sausage quest! If I could buy some here and post them I would! Where in the country are you?

Thanks Angie, I havn't really been giving much thought to the superfoods bit of EE, I will start that today, plus will make a point of drinking more water. Thanks for that I am sure it will help! I am pretty good about varying my B choices although now that so many previous B choices are now free I am rather limited to bread, cereals etc!

    Hi Ladies :hello:

I did really well on slimming world last year, lost a couple of stones and felt sooooo much better ...

... Then gave up, mainly winter blues and no real motivation after wearing all my lovely summer clothes.

Now got the blues even more as put a lot of it back on again, hey ho, here we go again.

I quite enjoyed it last time so am looking forward to getting back on it.

I dont think I will have time to post every day but try to read as much as possible.

    Today I have had ...

Brunch ... Wholemeal toast (b), 2 slices laughing cow extra light (part of a), scrambed eggs, copious cups of tea (part of a).

    Planning ...

For a late lunch I have a potato and leek curried soup in the slow cooker (thanks to inspiration from a poster on here).

For dinner probably more of the above (I have made a huge amount and only so much freezer space) or pasta if I can be bothered.

I tend to find the diet easier if I dont have all my a's and b's and it worked for me last time.

The EE sounds interesting but I think I will stick with original / green days for now.

Somebody a few pages back mentioned spray light ceaser dressing. I have looked everywhere for it but can't find it. Does anybody know where I can get some from?

Have a good slimming day everybody!
