i used a Magners Lite, I need to double check but i think they are only 4 1/2 syns a bottle. Ive got the other 3 chilling so me and oh can maybe have one later.
The lemon merangues are looking amazing. There is a mountain of merangue on them. I hope they are nice cold, You normally eat lemon merangue cold dont you? I want to get the kids bathed and ready for bed waiting for their daddy to get here, then chuck em in bed and we can enjoy our dinner.
edit - yep Magners lite is only 4 1/2 syns, woohoo:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

Mine sometimes looks curdled if there is fromage frais in it, sometimes if its boiling too hot it does this. It will still taste ok though. I usually dont put FF or yoghurt in til the end. You could maybe try adding some more tinned toms and cornflour to thicken it. sorry im not much help. It will still taste nice but I know what you mean when you say the kids wont eat it. Maybe as you serve id pop a dollop of yogurt on top and some corriander if you have it hth:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
I've never had that so I guess its because the pan's too hot? It should taste ok though if it's a curry as it will be disgused by the spices. If it's too watery it could have needed reducing before adding the fromage frais/yoghurt as there is a lot of water in tinned toms. Simmer it for a while and it may reduce, failing that as above add some cornflour (already dissolved in a small amount of water (teaspoon of cornflour to tablespoon of water)

OH got home before me (a rareity) and he's cooking up a storm of cauli cheese (I don't like it and only cook for him but this looks good!) He's good some spinach, bacon (HEb) and spring onions together and added it to the cheese sauce then poured the whole thing over the steamed cauli! :drool:

Hi all, can I ask a quick question please to all you excellent cooks!
Have bought a slow cooker, my first ever one and want to make some sort of beef casserole/stew type thing! Have looked at the recipes on the Slow cooker thread on OS but need to adapt them to be SW friendly and I am not a good cook!
So how do I do it?? I have the stewing steak and will get OH to get veg/potatoes or whatever else goes in it.
Thanks in advance if anyone has an idiot proof recipe x x
There are some SW slow cooker recipes here if you scroll down:

chuckie79 - to get slimmer of the week, we don't add the 2 weeks together (see Skint-Catt's explanation). If you have lost this week and lost last week, you're in the running
tiamaria - the rice pudding recipe is one I posted and I can confirm it's perfectly ok to eat freely. You can have lots of very yummy food with SWI let my mind wander and it never came back!0
