  • Hi Seelyb, as far as I know, you count whichever is the lowest syn value for extra easy days? as for only eating superfree foods between meals - I've not heard that mentioned yet - but I don't go to classes so maybe I've just not picked that up yet!

Hi there - I wonder if anyone would be kind enough to explain syns on Extra Easy please? I'm fine with Original and Green days, but I understand that with EE you can have whichever free foods you like from either plan at each meal as long as you have only one HEA and HEB. So does that mean that syns are calculated at the highest value for the particular food? And does it mean that only superfree foods are free between meals? Hope someone can help as I work away a lot so find it really hard to get to classes regularly. Many thanks.

Hi your right about having all the free foods from red and green on EE and one HEA and one HEB. The syns should betaken at the lowest value on EE. And between meals you can eat whatever free food you like not just superfree; for example

for lunch you can have a JP with tuna, sweetcorn , the a snack of a mughsot
the for dinner you can have chicken, potatoes and veg, then if you fancy later you can have a huge plate of SW chips and ham

    hope that make sense

  • Hi made a sugar free jelly/ mullerlight mousse last night, actually thought i had messed it up as made jelly up with all normal water required (instead of just 1/2 pt, as suggested by recent recipe on here), so thought would be drinking not eating it however, it turned out really nice, if quite soft in consistancy. Made with tesco sugar free orange jelly and mandarin mullerlight, very nice and refreshing. ;)

    Hi all

Well I think I'm getting in to the swing of things - slowly. I didn't post yesterday but today's food (EE):

B/f - 28g bitesize shredded wheat (heb) and soya milk (hea)
lunch - tuna pasta with cucumber, red pepper and sweetcorn (5 syns for mayo) followed by muller light yoghurt mixed with frozen summer fruits
dinner - mombassa chicken tandoori (recipe from the booklet free with slimming world mag), rice and healthy eating naan bread (4 syns)
snacks - lychees, cherries and clementine

If I've got things wrong then I'd be really grateful if you could let me know.

My biggest problem has always been snacking on crisps, cakes and sweeties so the fact I've cut these out should improve my weight. Also I've always been starving when I get home from work but, interestingly, I've not felt that this week:j

The weekend might be difficult though - too much time on my hands.

SC (or if anyone else can help) I was planning to make the lemon merangues for pud tonight and whole way round Mr T's I was thinking ' must get sweetener granulated not powdered' i was humming in this in a wee song so I wouldnt forget. Then ive just came on here and double checked the ingredients and it powdered NOT granulated DOH!
Anyway, id still love to make it but cant get back out, do you think the granulated would work? Its splenda and pretty fine. I dont want to start wasting eggs if it will be horrible.
    tia

Is it the yellow box of splenda - kinda rectangular shaped? I think that'll be fine - thats the one I've got at home and to be fair you couldn't get any finer  :rotfl:

I'm making the lemon meringue tonight or tomorrow for the first time! :j

Lelc - that looks good to me. The only thing is the Lychees - were they canned or fresh? Most canned fruit is HEb or synned inc Lychees I believe. I wouldn't think of eating fresh lychees but I love the tinned ones ;) )I'm assuming the cherries were fresh?)
