One of my friends used to crush crisps into them, top with cheese, then grill (but I always imagined this wouldn't cook the mushroom!
Anything similar in the SW way?

Hi SC, I use cous cous, I cook it off in a pan with some chopped onion, chilli and garlic, sometimes fresh tomato too, then I stuff the mushroom and stick in the oven for 10-15 mins, you can put some cheese on (Mozzarella is fab) and apart from the cheese if you use it its all free, one of my fave things - I do the same with courgettes tooMFW 2010 Challenge (No 68) - £133.29/ £5000MFITT2 Challenge - (No 181) - Target Reduce mortgage to £130,000Mortgage @ 1.8.09 - £161160  @1.12.09 - £159052  @ 1.2.10 £157,3630 -
Hi all, can I ask a quick question please to all you excellent cooks!
Have bought a slow cooker, my first ever one and want to make some sort of beef casserole/stew type thing! Have looked at the recipes on the Slow cooker thread on OS but need to adapt them to be SW friendly and I am not a good cook!
So how do I do it?? I have the stewing steak and will get OH to get veg/potatoes or whatever else goes in it.
Thanks in advance if anyone has an idiot proof recipe x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

Well done kaydn!! That's great news!!
SC - I usually fry off some bacon and onion, stuff it in the mushroom, top with cheese and stick it in the oven for 10-15 mins! Suppose you could really put anything in them though! Enjoy!
I'm feeling way bloated tonight - I hate green days! Although, I went to spin tonight (with the usual feeling of dread right the way down to my boots!!), and I had loads more energy than usual - so maybe a bowl of pasta might be the way forward at lunchtime!!

zav, I'm so jealous of what you've eaten! I bet you still lose too! I'm being sooo good at the mo, I was almost in tears thonight on the way to dancing saying to OH I don't know what I'll do if I don't lose this week (and so far I haven't - I know I know!)
I couldn't even bring myself to buy a creme egg as a treat for tonights dancing workout!
mina - if you come off at 11a and follow the signs for Swindon when you get to the top of the hill there's a fab pub called The Air Balloon - 10mins max from the motorway. You're more likely to find something SW fitting in there!

well I've been bad most of the week - with at least 2-4 days of being stunningly bad and I lost 0.5 lbs at WI tonight - I've never felt more of a fraud and said so in group
