Afternoon everyone. I just posted this on the DFW thread before I realised that this thread existed.
I've only just started with Slimming World and would really like some advice about my meal plan for the day. I'll be fine once I get into the swing of things but I'm just getting a bit confused about how I count things up so your help would be really be great.
Breakfast - Bitesize shredded wheat and Alpro soya (sweetened milk)
Mid-morning - banana
Lunch - !!!!-a-leekie soup (made using the recipe on the SW website) and Muller light Raspberry & Cranberry yoghurt.
Dinner - Roast Chicken and sweet roast vegetables (as per recipe on SW website)
Also snacks of 2 clementines, some grapes and a thin wedge of melon.
Do I need to add anything or change anything and would it be possible for me to have some potatoes with my dinner do you think?
Many thanks in advance for any help or advice you can offer.
LC
Hmmm... This looks like a nice plan, I am just trying to work out what day you are following Red? green? easy?
Breakfast - Bitesize shredded wheat (HB if weighed) and Alpro soya (sweetened milk) (HA if measured)
Mid-morning - banana
Lunch - !!!!-a-leekie soup (contains chicken)(made using the recipe on the SW website) and Muller light Raspberry & Cranberry yoghurt.
Dinner - Roast Chicken and sweet roast vegetables (as per recipe on SW website - can't find recipe, shall assume free veg)
Also snacks of 2 clementines, some grapes and a thin wedge of melon.
Ok - If you are on Green, this is not a great day!
If you are following Red, you need one more B choice, and you could have one more A choice. The B choice could be potatoes with dinner
If you are following Extra Easy - you have used all your HE's, but you could have potatoes with dinner as they are a free food on EE.
does that help?
I notice lots got here before me, but at least we are all saying the same thing!!0 -
Could someone please tell me this weeks password please?
Many Thanks

I am sorry Amy, but we are not allowed to share the password to the website - it would get this thread shut down - Slimming world are very strict on this.
But welcome to our little thread, it would be great if you wanted to hang around and join in - you would be very welcome!
PS - not sure if it is a great idea to publicise your private email on a public forum0 -

i got some in asda at the weekend, think it was £1.20, never used it before, but been making a few thai meals recently and it keeps mentioning it.
the idea of fish sauce makes me :undecided so will see if it makes a difference to the recipe.

i've only just started recently back on slimming world and I thought i kept my old books but i havent - im going shopping after work and need to know the syn value of the pasta n sauces....any one help?0 -
nam pla (fish sauce) is a fantastic ingredient in Thai and chinese dishes. You can get it in most supermarkets in quite small bottles (look in the area with the noodles, chinese sauces etc). You could just about get away with subsituting worcester sauce, but obviously they are not the same thing, and I would certainly taste the difference.
Small bottles are fairly inexpensive, and worth having in your storecupboard if you like stir frys etc.. IMO Nam pla is the ingredient that makes especially thai food very characteristic.
I have posted a free stir fry sauce recipe before that uses nam pla...0 -
