Iv'e got two big things on this week , thursday a meal 13 years together , friday my mates hen do & we got strippers  and a drag queen laid on for her , i'm dredding it all ,the drink  i mean

As per my other posts, I have lots on this week but for the other days, I am sticking to the plan as normal which will be a challenge for me as often a meal out means I ruin the whole week.

For the hen night - stick to free mixers (diet coke / slim line tonic) and perhaps alternate your alcholic drinks with non alcohol. Remember pub measures carry a higher syn value than the standard 25ml = 2.5 syns. Ensure (if food isnt on the menu) that you have a huge meal before you go, perhaps jacket chips and something. Dont drink on an empty stomach!

For your meal out, try to make sensible choices, a steak and jacket? melon or prawn cocktail for starter without the sauce. fruit pavlova for pudd? If you have the (huge) food directory, it does have a section on eating out and the typical syn values for indian restaurants, chinese restaurants etc. Worth a look

Flexi syn for your two nights out and enjoy yourself. Dont be too good (so that you feel you deprived and go home and blow out on the chocolate) Hope you have a fab time.

nb Try to stay away from creamy pasta dishes, the garlic bread, pizza etc !

Does anyone have a recipe for weetabix cake? The recipe on the SW site is 3.5 syns per slice, presuambly this is because it includes sultanas and flour.

One of our members brought a weetabix cake that she had turned into a gateaux and this was 2 HEB options and then 3.5 syns for the whole cake!

I dont remember the exact ingredients other than 2 rvita and 2 weetabix! and that she cooked in in the microwave.

Our member sliced the cake in half, spread with low sugar apricot jam, and layered fresh pineapple, stuck the other half of the cake on top and then put on the top of the cake the greek 0% yogurt (stirred through with canderel) and fresh fruit. it was very tasty :D
  • I've signed up for the Race for Life... Eeek!!!

I want to be able to run it, not walk it so I'd better get myself in gear :o

Gotta be really good and up my exercise :A
I saw two shooting stars last night
I wished on them, but they were only satellites
It's wrong to wish on space hardware
    I wish, I wish, I wish you'd care

  • amusing side note - the girl next to me at class tonight swore blind that she didn't understand why she put on 1lb this week despite being :A all week. we chatted for a bit, then she just said

'OMG - I just remembered the vodka!!'

...seems she has had about 1/2 a bottle during this week (with a bit of kaluha to wash it down) to wipe away a rotton week :rotfl: :rotfl: fancy forgetting that!!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: ...must have been the vodka :D

PMSL I have almost done that before, only I forgot a night out midweek. It's not like I even have much of a social life for it to all seem samey. I hardly ever get to go out midweek!

Good Morning All, raining and overcast again! Sounds like a good day to be in my bedroom having a good old sort out and seeing what I can take to the charity shop - after I take Charlie to the park of course!;)

I am as usual and probably will be for the rest of my life doing EE!:j

Breakfast - half a pack of quark mixed with a couple of WW prune yogurts and a handful of fresh blueberries spooned onto 5 scan brans. (that should get me going:D) (free, free, free, 2.5 syns)

Lunch - HM bubble & squeak from last nights left over mash & cabbage although I will add some onion, with thick sliced ham and a couple of poached eggs. (free)

Dinner - HM chilli with vegetable rice. May make up a sugar free jelly for later although I am trying to get away from eating in the evenings. I have a big dinner at around 7pm - do I really need to be eating something 2 hours later? No I don't, it is just a habit which I will try get rid of!

Milk in my coffees will be my HEA and will use some parmeson cheese in my vegie rice as a HEB!

    Love
    Marion

    Morning :hello:

Stuck mainly to plan yesterday apart from a slice of OH's HM bread which jumped into my mouth:rolleyes: but I have 'syned' it!!

D: Stuffed mushrooms/couscous with cheese as a HEA

Dancing tonight  salsa and latin which gets me moving and away from the fridge!

I'll have my other HEB for supper when I get in.

magic - porridge plus a Hi-Fi isn't right. A Hi-Fi is 6 syns and a HEb in it's own right so you're having too much. Are you sure she didn't say a Scan Bran?

I saw Gok last night - he didn't look 21 stone to me when he was younger - 18 ish maybe, but not 21 yet he was horrified! Dawn was a size 12 for her wedding and hated it so put all the weight back on  I walked past her in the Bullring just before Christmas with her daughter Billi, to be fair she actually is as wide as she is tall!
