I've taken a recipe from the OS board today and have made chicken soup from the carcass, first time I've ever tried boiling one up.
The soup is lovely, just threw in veggies and have a pot the size of a small bucket to get through now!

TOTALLY fed up! Been sticking to the diet all week and not many syns and I only lost 1/2 a lb!!! Doesn't seem to be much point if all I can do is 1/2lb when I have quite a few stone to lose!
look at your weight loss over the month - not the individual week. as our consultant says, only you can know if you have been sticking to the plan 100% and if you have the results will show. sometimes the body doesnt want to play ball and needs a severe telling off but seriously things like whether you have had mostly green days, are you drinking enough, eating enough, aunt flo visiting can all have an effect so be kind to yourself, stick with it and look forward to a fab loss next week. :j0 -

dlb thanks for info on lasagne crisps! x
what have i eaten:
porride (hea) milk (heab)
hifi
apple
pasta sauce (with hea)
jacket and beans
watermelon
hifi - half syn
rice and chicken (heb) and spinach curry
airwaves chewing gum , a few pellets - about 1.5syns worth
so ive had 2 syns...and now gonna have a mug of milk (hea) with choccies!
so thats a green day!
edit had 10.5 syns worht of minstrels with warm milk...this surely cant be a diet!!
Hi magicbeans
looks like you are eating good food(something i am struggling with at the moment!:o )
But i see you have had 2 heas & 2 hebs but have not synned one of your hifi bars- i didn't know if this typo or an over sight.
either way you and the others are doing great at the minute, keep up the good work & i will try to pull my socks up

Well I went to Rosemary Conley this week and my weight stayed the same. This is despite me sticking 100% to Slimming World and having no more than 10 syns on any day. Bit disappointed but at least no weight gain. Funnily enough I weighed myself yesterday on my own scales. In the morning I weighed 10 stone and by the evening I was weighing 10 stone 7lbs. This was with my clothes on and they weighed 4 1bs so I had still gained 3lbs in the day. Not saying this is fat necessarily.
On a plus note, the exercise is great fun and our instructor is so funny and friendly. I did tell her I would not be following the diet and that I was attending mainly for the exercise and the discipline of being weighed. I could not follow RC - just not enough to eat for me. Will press on in the hope that by the summer I may have shifted that last half stone!!!

I'm thinking of doing what you're doing Larmy. SW eating plan and RC workout! These are desperate days for me and something's got to get things moving again. I need FUN (as you say) in my crusade to lose weight.
Did anybody see Gok tonight with the overweight teens? I was quite disappointed & felt they should have gone into it in more depth. Quite weak I thought. I did feel that Gok thought it was a bit sad that the lad (15)wanted gastric band and one girl (17) had already got one. Then near the end the obesity specialist said that people have got to take responsibility for getting themselves so overweight and not blame others. I agreed with that. Maybe he should tell Anne Diamond who always insists that "Fat is not your fault".:p
I've been swimming this morning (45 lengths) and still following EE for another week.0 -

Well done both of you - that's more exercise than I have done for.... erm.... a while:o
In September I am going to have to cycle (with DD on a tag along) to school daily - 30 mins each way am and pm... that's 2 hours daily    I am hoping with practice I can speed up a bitbit of a shock to the system coming my way methinks :rotfl: .. I used to cycle to work each day when I lived in central London, but gave up when I was 5 months pregnant and a little unstable
. The fact that DD will be 7 in the summer tells you when that was :rotfl: :rotfl:
I think whatever we do, and however we do it, it is better if we can inject some FUN into it... we only get one chance at this life after all...0 -

Hi phantom, sorry tonight wasn't the result you hoped for - is there any reason that you can think of? aunt flo (TOTM?), not having enough syns/A choices/B choices/ too much alcohol etc?
If you really have been good, you should find that it will show up next week if you can stick at it.... ideally you will see 1/2 lb off as a great achievement - it is the sort of loss I am (very!) used to, and I am now nearly at target... just doesn't help the old motivation does it..
chin up, its FAR better off than on, and sticking with it will help you learn to get through the tough times... take care x0 -
amusing side note - the girl next to me at class tonight swore blind that she didn't understand why she put on 1lb this week despite being :A all week. we chatted for a bit, then she just said
'OMG - I just remembered the vodka!!'
...seems she has had about 1/2 a bottle during this week (with a bit of kaluha to wash it down) to wipe away a rotton week :rotfl: :rotfl: fancy forgetting that!!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: ...must have been the vodka0 -
Weigh in tonight for me and I can report a stay the same. (slight pause while Flat Eric has a tantrum :rotfl:) seriously though Im quite happy with that because it wasnt a gain
Oh dear - are you aware that if you choose to have a tantum you have to sit on the naughty step for 1 minute for every year of your age....... nuf said. Very pleased it wasn't a gain though...
Incidentally did I tell you how I purchased jacobs high fibre crackers thinking they would be "healthier" than the "normal" jacobs only to find they were 2.5 syns each compared to the standard jacobs crackers which are only 1.5. syns each. I was horrified  4 crackers had been munched before I checked the syn valueso before I dug out the cheese and the rest of the crackers and ate about a month's syns in one evening, I threw them in the bin!
sheesh!! I hate it when that happens...:doh:I can also report that I have changed my target on my weigh in sheet so I feel really motivated again. Just 6 1/2 pounds to lose :j till target
yay! (I didn't know I could fill anything in anywhere - my target has only ever existed in my head) Decision made - now doesn't that feel jolly positive
Its my aim to stick to the plan 110% eitherside and will be my plan come weigh in next week to really get cracking and get those 6.5 pounds off. Now i have set my target to a more realistic amount, I cant wait to get going because I know I can achieve it and I know I will be less likely to self sabotage
I am super pleased for you :T :T :T :T :T because I know you can do it, and we are all here rooting for you.... (oh, and we fancy a full report on just how good that pud was with the clotted cream :rolleyes:0 -

I am thrilled to report that tonight I have lost 2lb!! OMG I am still in shock
So, considering all the sage advice that has been passed through this wonderful support forum, I (think) I am going to keep going until one of the following happens:
a. I hit my original ideal target :rotfl: or
b. It is the weigh in before valentines night.
whichever happens first (most likely b :rotfl: :rotfl: )
So, the motivation that I have had from my valentines challenge will continue for 2 more weeks, and I am just going to go for the best I can achieve!!!
Iv'e got two big things on this week , thursday a meal 13 years together , friday my mates hen do & we got strippers  and a drag queen laid on for her , i'm dredding it all ,the drink  i mean0
