Hey FlatEric - just for a change, why don't you try some low fat natural yoghourt??:rotfl: :rotfl: Sorry, couldn't resist!!

I've had cereal, a pear and skimmed milk for breakfast.

Lunch was salmon cooked in tin foil with some herbs and lemon/lime juice. Some delicious small potatoes roasted in their skins (in Fry Lite) a selection of roasted veg (peppers, courgettes, red onions, aubergine, spring onions, tomatoes etc) and we all had the same. Followed by a meringue nest filled with raspberries (from freezer) and a big dollop of 0% Total Greek Yoghourt. I LOVE that stuff!!

tee hee!! thats got me giggling !!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:!!!

Its very interesting about mood, generally I am in good spirits, but the last couple of weeks of not losing and working hard at it , has made me quite depressed around food.
I eat the most varied diet of anyone I know, just cut out everything I really like altogether, like chocolate.
    I dare not touch it!
This morning I've eaten 2 wheetabix (I know they are allowed), but once again know I've shot myself in the foot, its another thing that puts my weight up .............................. but I so enjoyed it.
I go to bed and fall asleep every night (for about 8mths) listening to Paul Mckenna 'I can make you thin' and am seriously thinking I might be getting confused/mixed messages???
I follow SW yet Paul says I can eat what I want when I want, not that I do. Will not listen to him for a week and see if that helps.
    How crazy does that sound????
I have also started to do easy exercise, not that anyone else would call it that, but to me it is more than I have done all year.
I start to dread every Sunday knowing Monday is my weigh in day.
It really shouldn't be like that, so I need to re-think.
Thanks everyone for your support, it meant so much last night when I felt even more awful than this morning.

Hi again - I don't want to take up lots of space on talking about mood and eating/dieting, but I can give you some pointers in terms of self-help materials and advice on figuring out how your emotions and diet go together. Just PM me :)

I suspect your right that the Paul McKenna plan isn't helping. Sounds like it's creating a dissonance between the two ways of dieting. Lots of his ideas do go hand in hand with SW and/or eating for specific health problems, but not all do, and it sounds like it's the bits that conflict (like eating what you want when there are foods on your thyroid's definitely-not list) that are causing you some frustration? Because McKenna's CD uses hypnosis to automate his principles within you, I'm not surprised you're feeling depressed about food when you're being pulled in two different directions.

hi everyone well had my second weigh in today and although not as bad as i feared i lost 1/2 lb seems so insignificant in comparison to last weeks 8 1/2 lbs lol! as i said earlier in the week i thought i'd gained after standing on my own scales and nearly dying of shock as i have been really good all week. my consultant recons i haven't been eating enough but i'm struggling with lunches when i'm out during the day with the kids and think it would be better to not eat than go to mcdonalds etc(albeit i would love to lol!)
anyone got any hints or tips to help me this week?

I would eat a huge breakfast so that come lunchtime, you are not very hungry and can just snack on a hi fi bar or an alpen light. I would nab some of those spoons you can get in m&s then if you have a tesco near where the mcdonalds is, you could pick up a mullerlight or a pre prepared fruit salad. I would be tempted to avoid mcdonalds altogether because I wouldnt be able to sit in one of them and not eat their food!

Hello, I like the sound of the quorn savoury eggs, can you get them in Tesco? Are they frozen or will they be found by the scotch eggs etc?

I was thinking of making a pizza, made with pepperoni, pineapple, chicken, onion, peppers, mushrooms, spicy beef, tomato or passata etc, I don't eat cheese so that's not a problem. I thought I'd be Ok with pineapple as 1 syn and whatever the base is - however a 100g pizza base is 14 1/2 syns so that's out:rolleyes:

Does anyone know any alternatives for a pizza base?

2 slices of white nimble? (HEb or 5 syns, I think).

There are recipes for using mashed potato spread out thin and baked on a low heat for a long time, but this always soaks up the tomato when I make it so isn't very pizza like! Have also heard of using a tortilla (7 syns) but I haven't tried that!
