hi all hope everyone is doing well.
im feeling very down today i have been good as gold no lapses and yet when i stood on the scales this morning it looks like ive put on 2-3lbs i just cant understand it and just want to reach for the chocolate but i know thats not the answer. Its making me dread going to class on sat because i had such a good loss last week that people will think im not being truthfull with what i have been eating when i truly have not had anything i shouldnt have and i have only had about 5 syns a day. just dont know what im doing wrong.

Don't give up - you've still got three days! I've often stood on the scales the night before a WI and I seem to have gained 3+ lbs but I've gone to class and lost! DO NOT GIVE UP PLEASE!!!! (I didn't know they did classes on Saturdays!)
  • yeh it's the first saturday class ever still the only one i think though.
Thanks for all the encouragement guys it means alot.

What do you have in and we could think of something. Do you want to cook or have something cold?

And whoever said its hard to use your HEb's on a green day - yes it is! I always try to eat as free as poss all day and on green its really easy to do so I usually end up with 3 or 4 HE's still to use by the evening! LOL
  • i dont mind cold or cooking i have passatta, sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, carrot, mixed peppers, potatoes, quorn, eggs cant think what else. looking like its going to be a concoction of flinging it all in a pan lol!

Do you have pasta? Could you make a nice veggie sauce from some of the veg (or quorn) with the passata? Or spanish omlette?

Ok - start off with this :coffee:, then a nice big :grouphug: from all of us! Stay away from the chocolate and get yourself to class on Saturday!

Our weight vary every day (especially for women), different scales weight different, the time of the day counts too! Are you sure you are eating enough - if you are not that will also prevent your weight loss. If you are sure you are doing everything right then just relax. If you have gained weight - so what - it will come off the following week. Who cares what people think - s*d them! The only thing that can stop you losing weight is you! Consider this a formal kick up the bum!:rotfl:

Very nicely put Marion, I was about to post something similar but I doubt I could have done it so well!

  • It seems this is the main dieting thread on MSE - please tell me if I'm wrong. My doctor's set me what he decribes as the hardest challenge to get right.

I'm a man and, at 12.5st, am a stone overweight for my height. This has a negative input into various medical problems afflicting me. I need to get rid of that stone but the doc says that virtually all 'crash' regimes fail because the body simply responds by sending increased hunger messages to the brain.

Apparently it has to be done slowly so as to trick the system.

Can anyone here with successful experience suggest a strategy, please? Any offerings would be gratefully received. Please feel free to PM me if the thread goes in other directions.

Hi Charlton - we on here only follow one strategy - Slimming World so we can help with that but not much else. Could you go to a class? There are loads of men (including my OH) who attend classes and they always do VERY well - they all beat the women to Slimmer of the Week!

There's a weeks menu here to get you started - you could follow this without knowing the priciples. If you want to substitute anything just ask us!
