Thanks Zav, I usually do add a little cornflour at the end.

Thanks for the tip on the mousse - I think I let the jelly cool but not quite set - need to leave it a little longer obviously! It was good anyway OH loved it! :rotfl:

Yes, Schwartz Cajun is free I've used it before.

I ended up saying sod it today and ate everything in sight. Really regretting it now, because I just feel rubbish - headache, lethargic. It is back on the plan tomorrow!!

Never done this myself, but people at group talk about letting the jelly get a little bit set before blending with the muller as otherwise the yogurt and jelly have different densities and split...???:confused:

Yeah you have to wait until it's almost set, then you whisk or blend the quark/VLF FF into it. It looks like you've ruined it and it won't set again but it does. There's a proper knack to getting it fluffy and mousse-like. I haven't discovered that yet! I know it can be done as it appeared at one of our tastings. Along with the potato base pizza which I have only ever made once and it was like eating a pile of mash with veg on top. A woman at our group got it to be a stiff pizza base so you could hold it like a pizza. If I had her cooking ability, I too would be at blooming target!

Sometimes it does you good to have a blow out as the effects make you realise how good you feel physically and emotionally when you are 100% on plan. I've gained motivation that way before when I lose sight of why I am doing this. Just to be able to say to yourself that sticking to plan makes you feel energetic, healthy and alert makes it easier to stick to..........In theory ;)

LOL, i actually quite liked it with the jelly underneath - a bit like a trifle! :j
  • I was going to say that, but wasn't sure if my positive spin would have been welcomed

    Positive spins are welcome!
Next time I feel like a blowout, I think I will just remember how I didn't feel very good after, and so I should make way for a few extra syns (ie allowing myself a chocolate bar and that's it) but not go this far. I can't get over how nasty my dinner was lol!
