Casserole - what do you use for a syn free (is there one) base for a casserole. Got the veggies and the beef for a red day tomorrow, but i usually use a jar :o But realised I don't have one!!!!

    Thanks C xx

I always use a tin of chopped toms, chopped onion and the beef and 3-4 stock cubes. I cook my veg separately. When I did the sausage casserole I used up the passata I had left instead of chop toms.

My FREE cottage pie was delicious and I had scrummy FREE savoy cabbage as well.:j Not a drop of fat came out, I do what Kelly says too. This was lean steak mince and delish.

Pud was a meringue filled with 0% Greek Yoghurt with a teaspn of lemon curd swirled through. I often do this and it's nearly as tasty as lemon meringue pie.

I think the meringue was 2.5 syns and the lemon curd 1. My book is downstairs, sorry. Not bad for a nice dessert and a change from yoghourt.

I shall have a small glass of wine later to use up some more syns. I can't believe how few syns I'm using.

  • Well, I am thrilled to report that my :heartpuls valentines challenge :heartpuls is well underway with a loss of 1.5 lb :j :D :j:D :j :D :j

....which for me is a really big deal!

The week ahead will be standard plan (ie red or green days) but keeping to the principle of 2/3 superfree :A ... This week I am aiming for the same loss again (or even more!)

Have a great week everyone :T
