I am a little way from target at the moment mainly due to xmas excesses!

I renegotiated it some months ago because I thought my desired weight was taking my weight loss too far. I still believe that my target weight is being optimistic, also the expense of the weekly class and the *having to constantly plan, be good* does wear thin after so long!

What I am keen to know is can I set my target for a weight I have previously reached but am now 3 or 4 pounds above?

If I can do this, it may be my decision to change my goal to just a few pounds away - I would work out my average weight and make this my target This would then be easily achieavable and mean that I can then attend class as a target member (not pay :D )

    What do you think?
flat eric when i was trying to get to target when i went to class ,it took my months to get to target the last 2lb , because i and my consultant said it was a mentle block , so i set it 2lb heavyer and then
    stayed there for weeks .
Then like she said i started lossing more and went 4lb under , so upped my h/b and then started to level out , so try it

I had a lovely weekend. We had our Silver Wedding 'do' on Saturday and had lots of lovely food (definietely not SW) and even more lovely drink. I got lots of compliments on my appearance which was nice ( before you ask I did NOT wear the wedding dress!) and hubby and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
I had a hosp appointment yesterday and got weighed there, according to their scales I was 2lbs lighter which would be fantastic but my SW WI isn't till Thursday and I know all scales are different so I'd best not get my hopes up.
I've just thought wheres Rob, I don't recall reading a post from him lately, or did I just miss it?
hi lo-brush cogrates on silver wedding how lovly :) , thank you for your kind welcome back , peachy xxx

I just got an Email from my consultant asking how I felt about her doing a bit about me for the local paper  I know it's a compliment but I'm not sure how I feel about it. It almost makes me want to reach for the biscuit barrel! :rotfl:

Gotta pop off now, I didn't realise the time! See you all later, after work, hopefully

Thanks for the help guys :) I found some express rice so had that for lunch (3.5 syns) and a muller. I will plan the rest of the day later lol. Off to my exam now - it's marketing so hopefully will be ok!
  • Hi all!

Weigh in day for me later after my first week of my :heartpuls valentine challenge :heartpuls ... I have been following sucess express all week. Ideally I want to have lost 2lb (an enormous amount for me to lose in a single week) and early indications suggest that I have achieved anything between losing 2 lb and gaining 1lb :rotfl: :rotfl: I guess I shall have to wait and see:rolleyes: DH lost 4 lb this morning, and he has been as good as gold apart from snaffling a croissant each morning  ... why is life soooo unfair!?

nano - sorry you are feeling ignored - as you say, this moves super quick at times, and I am sure noone meant you to feel that way. You have achieved so much since joining here, and you are such a support... please read and be involved if you can :grouphug: Have a dodgy hug from me :D

Ossioro (name prob wrong - sorry :o ) - thanks for that yogurt list you posted, where did you get it from please? [edit found it on website] Its just that the yogurts I get from Aldi (with wholegrains) seem to have changed from free to 2.5 syns (they are 250g pots) and I will need to tell my group as I have recommended them there before.. [edit - i have printed it out and will take it to class tonight!]

today is an extra easy day for me:

B 0% yog with blueberries, strawberries and blackberries, tea (milk HA)

L potato/onion/pea 'spanish' omlette with an enormous superfree salad, water

D will be hm chicken curry and hm pilau rice, maybe a couple of samosas from the freezer (1 syn each), nice big glass of weigh in wine! (6+syns)

need another B choice.... maybe take an alpen light (or two) to class tonight

Well, yesterday tried the sausage casserole and had a huge dinner - I'm the one "on a diet" and have the most food on my plate - it is brilliant. I have never, ever cooked a quiche in my life (and that's a lot of years) but have everything set to make one for myself today. Bought a little bit of ham to go in it as well as leeks and a pepper. Fingers crossed it will be edible.

Will people in this thread please stop insulting celery and quark :rotfl: :rotfl: . It is weird as I used to love celery stuffed with phili (although not fussy, to say the least, on celery by itself). I heard people talking about quark so I bought some  - it was horrid. So I bought some celery to go with it and it worked. Something healthy to snack on.
hi NOSONDDU have you tried putting something in the quark to change the flavor .
I put a tbs of horse raddish in half a pot of quark, and it becomes a pot of horse raddish and the other half light mayo , you have to leave it over night for the flavor to develope and you just syn what you put in the pot , then you can go back and use it as much as you like .
Try phili or your laughing cows and it becomes that , saves you money too

Just had quark (YUCKY on its own!) mixed with tuna on my jacket spud - the initial mouthful tastes a bit weird, but pretty tasty all in all! I'll use the rest for mash (instead of butter/spread) and lemon merignue!
