I think I've been having too much milk as a HEA
I've been having 250mls semi skimmed approx. because that is how much fits into my cup, is it only 200ml we're allowed?
I measured the milk once on my cereal, and just heated up some milk in a cup and poured it over and there was huge amounts there.. oops! So i poured some of it away but hope I don't have to start my nightly HEa hot chocolate highermagicbeans wrote: »o and hello nano..im one of the naughty noobs who is flooding the boards ...whoops!!0 -
Well, yesterday tried the sausage casserole and had a huge dinner - I'm the one "on a diet" and have the most food on my plate - it is brilliant. I have never, ever cooked a quiche in my life (and that's a lot of years) but have everything set to make one for myself today. Bought a little bit of ham to go in it as well as leeks and a pepper. Fingers crossed it will be edible.
Will people in this thread please stop insulting celery and quark :rotfl: :rotfl: . It is weird as I used to love celery stuffed with phili (although not fussy, to say the least, on celery by itself). I heard people talking about quark so I bought some  - it was horrid. So I bought some celery to go with it and it worked. Something healthy to snack on."Every day when I wake up I thank the Lord I'm Welsh" Cerys Matthews0 -

Celery is the ultimate in diet food. You just feel like you need a treat after eating it.Skint_Catt wrote: »You can have 250ml Semi Skim-milk (350ml skimmed and 175ml of whole)0

yesterday was a bit of a syn fest in the end - 2 small pieces of cake 2 ginger biscuits and 2 big spoonfuls of double cream! Oh well, not the end of the world and I've moved on already.
Today:
b: prune WW yog, banana and 140g prunes in juice (heb)
l: HM egg fried rice with oyster sauce (1 syn)
d: beef with vegetables in the slow cooker with pasta
hea will be some mozzarella over the beef and pasta
Won't spend any syns at the moment as I'm teaching tonight and there will be ginger biscuits and couble cream on offer again after the demonstration!
I've definitely realised that the key to me and my eating centres around eating consciously with a bit of emotional eating thrown in. How many times have I opened a box of chocolates and the next time I've looked I've had about 8 one after the other? Or been working at the PC and looked down to see my lunch is almost finished?! Maybe I've finally found the key to what I need to really concentrate on to lose weight for once and for all."Stay Wonky":D

blimey.............how spooky is this? After my last post saying about me maybe finding the key to my eating problems, I went to a motivational website I am trying to read each day - it's not weight specific, but is about life in all ways.........however, this really hit me as being a perfect follow up to what I feel I have discovered:
Root out the Problems
Beware of quick-fix solutions that end up being worse than the problems they are intended to solve. There's nothing to be gained from a cure that is worse than the disease.
And there's certainly nothing to be gained from a solution that merely masks or delays the problem without addressing the underlying cause. When there's a problem in your life, get to work rooting out the core of that problem.
Facing a challenge requires effort, and yet that effort is necessary only for a relatively short time. Running from the challenge requires ever-increasing effort that has no end.
The sooner you start working through a problem, the more quickly you'll have that problem behind you. The earlier you deal with the root cause of the problem, the more effective your efforts will be.
Truly eliminating the cause of the problem does indeed take more work than quickly fixing the symptoms. Yet once the difficult work is done to remove the problem, it's gone for good.
Do the work to root out each problem at its core. And your efforts will bring lasting rewards. -- Ralph Marston"Stay Wonky":D

Thanks,
