Had a free cooked brunch then to Mum & Dads for dinner - beef already covered in gravy (I dodn't usually bother with gravy!), roast pots done in oil/fat, HM yorkshire puddings also done in fat/oil, and roasted veg (olive oil used), then my mothers HM apple flan (small slice but still) & two thorntons chocs  I hate WI on a Monday!!!!!!

Didn't have time for a walk today and only did 6 miles yesterday due to new shoes. :(

    Hi Everyone

I have just spent over an hour catching up with post, I have not post for a couple of week sbut was a regular poster on the old forum and the beginning of this one...So lovely to see loads of new names.

I have been feeling awful as still suffering with my back/siatica, been refered to the hospital now so hoping they will sort me out. I have been keeping up my diet doing well with my 7.5lb loss over christmas and new year!

I put on a 1lb last week as the previous week was my christmas week went to Folkestone to see my OH family and it was OH birthday aswell...so really pleased it was only a 1lb.

WI tomorrow not sure how i have gone done a mix of extra easy and green days. I am feel that with extra easy i am a bit more tempted to cheat on my syns but maybe I feel it is too like my old way of eating.

I just wanted to catch up with everyone and hope that i am welcome back to the forum.

    xx

I am also thinking about joining a exercise class when my back gets better. We have a company called gymphobics which is women only near me. i think i would be happier in a same sex class. Let us know if you join up to anything.

Sorry I can't really help with your answer, but has the doctor not referred you to a dietician? If they haven't...then get them to, if they have you might be best asking them how best to manage a steady weight loss/maintain, whilst you are having to follow these requirements.

The only other thing you could do, is try following SW for a few weeks and see how it goes, the only problem I can forsee is, things like whitebread do contain a lot of sugar etc, so maybe if you could avoid it as much as possible anyway.

I finally managed to speak to my local consultant and she said it is fine to swap white bread as long as i stick to the amounts - so if HB is 2 slices of brown bread from a 400g loaf i have to swap the white bread from a 400g loaf.

She said she has had people in the past who had to do the same and it was fine.

I do see a dietician but the priority there is to get me eating the right vitamins and minerals - weight gain is not an issue for her.

My "to eat" list has victoria sponge, rich tea biscuits, cheese, cream e.t.c.

I have a complete inability to limit portions so need some kind of "plan" and ideally a "group plan" to help me lose weight.

    D. Roast chicken, potatoes, roasted veg (everything made with frylight so free??) and a yorkshire pudding (3 syns)

I did 2 days of EE last week and lost 2lb, a couple of women at group did it all week and both lost 1/2lb, it does work but differently for everyone obviously.
