gladysrocker wrote: »Congratulations to everyone whos lost this week, 8.5lbs is fantastic. Ive got my first weigh in tomorrow and Im a bit worried about it. I've faithfully stuck to plan all week and judging from previous attempts at SW this usually results in 1-1.5lb loss as Im not one of the fast losers. The problem is it is now TOTM which I know will show on the scales, possibly as a gain, which will be really embarrassing for the first week and short of announcing it to the whole class Im not sure what to do!0

Hi , have had a good day, after last nights fiasco. for tea im about to cook a pork steak, SW chips and a mountain of suger snap peas, asparagus and broccolli. for pud ive saved a vanilla choc muller lite.
Angie - thats great news re becoming a consultant, I think you'd be great as you always give good advice and seem to know the plans inside out, hope it all goes well for you.
Jemmabe - could you maybe make the egg custard recipe from a few pages back , with your left over eggs? I know you said you didnt like eggs but im sure that will taste yummy rather than eggy, will also be a good treat for you.
can I also ask where you all buy your extra lean mince from? I looked in Morrissons today but they had none that I could see. I usually shop in Asda but can get to Mr T's also. I use mince all the time as the kids love spag bol and meatballs etc.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

I get mine from Tesco - £2.99 for a 500g pack. Sometimes it's a bit watery though... I tried Sainsbury's and it was horrible, really rubbery. Asda's is quite nice, and I've never seen any low fat enough in Morrisons.0 -
I thought I'd post my eating plan for the day, as I'm dangerously tempted to syn too much.
B - bacon, low-syn (.5 each) sausage x 2, tomatoes
L - Jacket with cheese (HEb) and salad
D - Asda GFY Tikka Masala (4.5 syns) and rice
Snacks - banana, WW yogurt, cherries, dark hot choc (1.5 syns), tea (milk=HEa).
Hmmm... went for a very long walk today, which may explain the munchies. I may need something more - the pot of houmous I have in is tempting, but I know it won't be filling.0 -
Just wondered if anyone knew the % fat for extra lean mince (beef), I have some frozen mince at 6% fat, and wondered how this would be classed?
I have had a wander on the website, and I think it might be this, although mine is called 'light choices' steak mince

They usually say '5% or less' so I reckon your 6% is near-enough there0 -
Oh well things didn't exactly go to plan today...
ended up having a big row with dh, which resulted in me going to bed for a few hours then getting up and gobbling down a bag of crisps and 2 (yes 2) mars bars:mad: instead of my nice healthy lunch.
I still had the chicken curry for dinner, and as it was korma it was split between the 4 of us, so about 6 Syns for me there and 5syns for the crisps. Haven't synned the mars bars - yet! But I have obviously gone well over.
Mars Bars - 12 Syns each - so 35 Syns in total for me today.....

I made the beef wraps for tea tonight and they went down a storm! I cooked them under the grill and let most of the fat coming off them drain away so hopefully that will save me a few syns. Whats wierd was I put a fair bit of fresh chili in them and couldnt taste it once cooked! They have the internet on computers now?! - Homer Simpson

Today I had...
Green
cheese roll (A&B)
hifi (b)
swede mash, peas & quorn sausages (all free)
mullerlight with bits of christmas cake crumbled in - I'm allowing 4 syns I think. It was a lovely way to enjoy cake, must remember it for next year!
Hope everyone else has had a good weekend!0
