Hi - Hope someone can help me.
I have done SW in the past but now have various medical issues which mean i cannot eat fibre.
I emailed SW to ask them this Q but the anwer was somewhat waffling !
Basically can i do SW wirthout fibre ? so for my healthy B's i would have 2 slices of white bread instead of brown ?
This would be the only real change i think - eating white versions of stuff instead of brown/ wholewheat ?
I can eat dairy, meat and pasta but no veg or fruit or cereal - rice krispies are ok.
I know i would be deviating from the SW allowed list and realsie this may make weight loss slightly slower but would it still work ?
Has anyone done this ?
Sorry I can't really help with your answer, but has the doctor not referred you to a dietician? If they haven't...then get them to, if they have you might be best asking them how best to manage a steady weight loss/maintain, whilst you are having to follow these requirements.
The only other thing you could do, is try following SW for a few weeks and see how it goes, the only problem I can forsee is, things like whitebread do contain a lot of sugar etc, so maybe if you could avoid it as much as possible anyway.

Just checking, do you use milk in your omelette? and are you staying off the tea and coffee today, in order to have cheese as you HEa.

Hi Mel, Many thanks for the reply. I do drink tea, but today I've stuck to black coffee and added water to my omelette instead of milk. I think I may have to plan my HEs a bit better, I'm not sure I can live without tea :rolleyes:0 -

I think someone syn'd a tart for you earlier .. I did come across this on the website
Egg custard
Our yummy egg custard serves two people and is perfect for pudding, or as a suppertime dish to beat bedtime hunger pangs. Simply beat two eggs together in a bowl, heat 284ml/½ pt skimmed milk until almost boiling and pour over the eggs, beating well. Add artificial sweetener to taste. Strain the mixture into an ovenproof dish and sprinkle with grated nutmeg. Stand the dish in a roasting tin and pour in hot water to come halfway up the sides of the dish. Bake the custard in the preheated oven for 20-30 minutes at 170°C/325°F/Gas Mark 3, until set. Comfort food at it s best!
Although it does not mention the syn value, but I would guess if you were not using HEA milk it would be just 4.5 syns for the whole thing ... rather tempted to try it myself hehe!0 -
Hi guys.
Having a bad bad day
I went and got measured for a bra today after realising I needed to go down a size again. Came out measured at a slightly scary 32G  which you'd think was phwaaarr but the measuring lady kindly pointed out that most of the bras looked a bit rubbish because my boobs have gone saggy from all the weight loss (I used to be a 38H).There's nothing like standing in nowt but ur tights and knickers and being told you've got saggy boobs to cheer you up
I watched 'Extreme Slimmers' on telly last night and there were all these poor people who'd lost weight and who had saggy skin that never went back - am scared now!! I'm 27 so I thought it'd come back at least a bit....?? Does anyone else have saggy boobs problems from dieting? What do you do??????0 -
Mel/Fluffy - that seems a big difference in values
yeah the size I'm thinking is somewhere around 2.3-3.5 times the size of the small asda ones so is it as straight forward as 2.5/3.5 the sun value ? or is it not that straight forward ?
As it happens I resisted my extreme desire to go get one from my local spar - their egg custards are soooooooo deliciousHate and I do mean Hate my apple Mac Computer - wish I'd never bought the thing

Problem with a commercial egg custard is pastry and sugar - ultimately, it will be very high in syns.
I will say that homemade egg custard (just like the recipe posted), with nutmeg on the top is wonderful - especially when it is still warm from the oven and served in a warm, wobbly scoop (I've never manages the perfect slice!) ..... delish!0 -

thanks Ange - so ya reckon even higher than the syn values posted earlier ? I'm too lazy to try the home made one LOL - but I guess I should as I like #em so much.
thinking of going to the chinese tonight as directory states special fried rice is 9.5 at lower syn value and I am doing EE today so fancy chicken fried rice - so guessing that'd be about that syn value :j:jHate and I do mean Hate my apple Mac Computer - wish I'd never bought the thing

Well the sun did come out and Charlie and I had a lovely walk in the park this morning. When we went into the park he was all white and fluffy and still smelling faintly perfumed from his grooming session on Wednesday. When we left he was covered in mud, totally bedraggled from running around with his little doggy friends, smelt of fox where he had rolled in their muck, and had a huge grin on his face:D Bless!
I did a MMA session this afternoon in the front room and sorted out a huge Ikea unit that has had everything stuffed into it for the last 5 years or so and moved a few bits of furniture around. Worked solid for almost 2 hours and got very red faced but must have burned off a few calories!
Looking forward to my pasta bake now which is almost ready to eat!
Love
