Thanks Retirelady, it still amazes me how after being at group for almost a year there are still things that come up that i am unsure of.
I dont take the potatoe option on a red day very often but trying this week to mix up my healthy extras abit, as my consultant told us that sometimes that helps to start your weight loss off again if you have been maintaining, as having the same ones week in week out and your body can get `fed up`.
So trying any little trick this week to hopefully have a great loss on monday!Proud to be DEBT FREE AT LAST0 -
Need to do EE or green days and need ideas for breakfast and lunches. I noticed some of you just have fruit and yoghurt for breakfast and I just couldn't do this because I would be starving by 10.30! Its hard to believe you can have the low fat bacon with eggs and beans and still lose weight! Id rather have this for lunch than brekky though.
I usually have a bowl of shredded wheat crunchy nut for breakfast and then an egg, cheese and salad sandwich for lunch. I love homemade soup but don't always have time to make it. I like baked potatoes but would get fed up with this every day too. I just love having a sandwich (usually wholemeal) for lunch! Trouble is I usually pair this with a packet of crisps too!I need something thats as easy as a sandwich really.

Potatoe salad is quick and filling and can be made night before and in bulk so have a few days supply.
I make mine with spring onions finely chopped and add fromage frai (instead of mayo), you can add alsorts of other things to it, sweetcorn, peppers, chicken or tuna on a EE day.
Stuffed cucumber is nice for a change too (i couldnt have it everyday but nice for a change), hollow out half a cucumber and mix what you have scooped out with you filling again anything you can have that day, tuna, chciken, cheese(hea) and refill the cucumber...bit like a bagette but with a lot more crunch!
Or cook the bacon the night before and have a BLT, using bread a s a heb, or have on wholemeal crispbread as you can have 6 as a heb so feels like you have had more.
My husband follows the plan with me and today for his pack up(hes having a EE day) he has taken...
Mug Shots, small tub of cottage cheese mixed with curry powder and some carrot stixs for dipping, lots of fruit, mullerlights, chicken drumsticks with skin removed, and some pasta quiche. He never manage to eat it all, but still has stuff for snacking at breaks too.Proud to be DEBT FREE AT LAST0 -
Thank you to whoever said ages ago about eating frozen fruit still frozen - I have had fruit and yoghurt this morning and it is far more paletable than the mush i tried last time! Beachbeth - I think it keeps me goiing until lunch because I don't have it until 9.30am ish! Can you take your breakfast to work and have it a little later on?
lunch ideas - how about a tin of tuna drained with a tin of sweetcorn mixed in and some pepper - I find thats really filling, gives me loads of energy and doesn't need mayo to make it nice! Some packets of cous cous is free or low syn, just add boiling water from the kettle, or mug shots, pasta & sauce (take a food flask to work and mix with boiling water about 15-20 mins before you want to eat it) or if you have a microwave simply make too much dinner the night before and reheat - lots/most of my dinners are re-heatable like this!
I'm trying to eat loads of speed foods this week as friday is going to be a bit of a nightmare day syns-wise. I heard some people do a 10 fruit & veg a day challenge! So I might see how close I can get to that.0 -

Thanks for the ideas. I like the idea of the tuna and also the potato salad and chicken drumsticks. I shall make a plan for my shopping. Wouldn't it be lovely though not to think about it and just have someone put SW foods in front of you?:p0
