    Morning Guys

    Going to try another EE day today, the last one i had wasnt very successful, but it was the first time i had tried it, so will be more on the ball today!

    Brekkie: 2 slices wholemeal toast (hex b) topped with mashed banana

    Lunch: Chicken salad with a jacket potato and dressing (2 syns)

    Dinner: Chicken with onions, peppers and mushrooms fried in fry light with chilli and other herbs, boiled rice.

    Snacks; low sugar jelly, grapes

    Does this sound ok?:confused:

    If you mash banana it will have a syn value.
    Any fruit that you mash, squash, blend ect turns it from a free food into a syned item.
    Something to do with the sugar content changing forms and the fact it is quicker to eat so you may eat more.
    But other than that looks great.

    Morning everyone.

    Well after the shock of doing the new members talk last night, im on a high this morning.
    Plan to spend the day, planning this weeks menu in more detail, to include all syns and drink snacks ect, instead of my normal plan the main family meal then work the rest as i go along.

    Today is an Green day for me.

    Breakie- fruit and mullerlight.

    Mid morning snack- 1 piece of couscous cake -(1 syn)

    Lunch- Pasta `n` sauce with 2 l cow cheese tri mixed in (part of my healthy a, 3 left to use through day). And fruit.

    Tea jacket potatoes with rest of cheese tri, and beans and side salad.

    Supper- Porrige(heb) with muller light made with water.

    Snacks- More couscous cake-1 syn, merigue with from frai and grapes-2 syns.Carrot sticks and garlic quark. Milky coffee before bed (hea)

    Drinks- Black coffee, water and diet fizzy.

    (Also have another heb if i need it))

    Off to make a lemon couscous cake now, so i can have it warm for mid morning snack

    Daily eating plan Morning everyone! I will be doing my normal easy peasy plan!

    Breakfast - cereal, yogurt and fruit (5 syns, free, free)

    Lunch - HM leek and potato soup with wholemeal roll filled with sliced tomato(free,heb)

    Dinner - pasta bake with cheese topping plus left over ham from last night chopped into it plus added vegetable (free,hea,free)
    sugar free jelly with banana and yogurt - free
    When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!

    its weigh in tonight and its going to be a gain :confused:. I cant complain - I havent stuck to the plan as I should so I only have myself to blame. A combination of my first week back at work - being stressed and getting the chocolate munchies, a birthday meal out on Wednesday, my friend coming round on Sunday (and us raiding the biscuit tin) oh and having soup and crusty bread and flora for lunch! and the other days where I have *stuck to the plan* but have had too many syns. !!!!

    Today is a new week though and although I am very tempted to have a mcdonalds when I go in town to have my hair cut - I am going to resist the temptation!

    Here is my menu plan (extra easy)

    Breakfast
    2 slices of HEB friendly bread cooked as eggy bread with frylight, worcester sauce, chilli flakes, black pepper and parprika served with bacon (free) and a fried egg (didnt quite work - wont be having it again!!)

    Second Breakfast
    Mullerlight orange yogurt with chocolate sprinkles (free)

    Snack - alpen light bar (3 syns)
    Late Lunch (after hair cut)
    Jacket potatoe/salad and ham


    Tea (after weigh in - dont think it sensible to eat before I weigh!!!)
    Jacket chips
    home made lamb burgers

    Pudding
    Mullerlight yogurt
    Alpen light bar (3 syns)

    Vodka (25ml) 2.5 syns
    tonic :D

    Total syns for today 8.5

    All I did was put 28g of porridge oats (Tesco value ;)) in a little plastic tub with a lid, pour on enough cold water to cover and a teeny bit extra in case they swell up a bit and shove in the fridge overnight. The next morning I heated it up for 2 mins in the microwave (but I think you meant to eat it as is) and then poured in a vanilla Muller Light and a handful of fresh blueberries.

    I do mine a little different to that CT - I mix my yogurt with the porridge oats the night before and just pop into the fridge overnight. The next morning I add my berries or chopped apple, sliced banana or whatever. Have this with a couple of scan bran and you will not be hungry till lunch!:T. I don't add water to mine and I don't heat it up.

    However - if I am making hot cereal I will measure out the oats and milk and mike them and then I will add frozen berrys straight into the hot cereal and give it a stir - lovely! The heat will defrost the berrys quickly and they still have a bit of bite to them.

    Chocolate Orange Couscous Cake

    Syns per Serving | Green - 1 Syn
    Servings | 4


    Ingredients
    - 4oz couscous
    - 8fl oz boiling water
    - 1tsp baking powder (½ Syn)
    - 2tsp or 1 x 11gm sachet Cadburys Highlights hot chocolate (2 Syns)
    - 2 eggs
    - 2tbsp low calorie granulated sweetener
    - 1 x orange, rind & juice (1 Syn)
    - 1 mandarin Mullerlight yoghurt

    Method
    1. Soak the couscous in the boiling water for 10 minutes.

    2. While the couscous is soaking, whisk all the other ingredients together. Add to the couscous & mix well. Pour into a microwavable flan dish.

    3. Cook in the microwave on full power for 10 minutes.

    You can change the flavour just from replacing the mullerlight flavour and the fruit.
    So a lemon cake would be the new lemon flavour mullerlight with and lemon instead of an orange.

    4 syns for the whole cake!!!
