I'm working and when I've finished work I'm driving for about 3.5 hours to get to family and hoping there's some dinner ready when we get there!! It's worth it though...I think. If I had children there's no way I'd be working but as I don't I'll go in so those with kids can take the day off.

Cheers to you for doing this i hope your work mates appreciate this.

This year they're doing a Christmas eve special at the lesiure centre where you swim from 9am to 10am, then have a buffet breakfast, then meet Father Christmas so we're taking the boys (mine aged 8 and my nephews 3 and 2) there to tire them out.

We have a Christmas tradition of going to the pantomime on Christmas Eve afternoon when we celebrate it in Sheffiled (Panto is on boxing day if we all go to my sisters to stay) and then after that we're off out for pizza with our clubcard deals vouchers.

We always used to go to church for midnight mass but its tricky with the children so probably just Mum and Dad going this year.

Both me and Hubby are working nights 23rd but are planning on getting up about 11am on Xmas Eve, tidy up, clean all the veg ready for Christmas day dinner and hopefully chill out with our little boys. In between all this hubs has to go up in the attic and get all the boys presents down !!!
I've made a Christmas Eve hamper for the boys and Hubs was quite upset yesterday that he didn't have one so I had to go shopping today after work for some little bits to put one together for him now too as a surprise. New pj's all around xxxx

I've got Christmas Eve off, so I'll be getting the veg peeled and prepped for the following day, as well as giving the house a quick clean up.

Going to have a takeaway for tea and then head to church for the Watchnight Service at midnight.

Tidying in the morning whilst waiting for my brother to arrive around 3ish, then films, lee evans dvd's, wii games, takeaway and alcohol :) T'was my brothers birthday on the 18th though so before this he'll be opening his presents and having some birthday cake and then I'll give him and mum their Christmas Eve presents (new pj's, posh smellies etc)

We are both off on Xmas eve. The girls & I have a haircut booked for 9:30 (quite exciting as it is DD aged 21mths first haircut!) whilst OH goes to the butchers to collect the turkey.

I have done a Christmas eve hamper with PJ's, DVD's, bubble bath, santa stop here sign to make, hot chocolate & mug, toffee popcorn etc... & I was going to put it on the beds whilst we ate lunch to keep us busy in the afternoon. We may be going out to lunch now with friends, if we do I will put it on the bed when we go out for them to find when we get home.

What I want do to is get up late, eat bacon rolls, watch xmas movies, eat chocolates and drink bucks fizz all day.

What I probably will be doing in reality, is running around like a headless chicken, trying to buy whatever I've forgotten, I'll spend ages peeling spuds and veg, and generally getting royally stressed. Merry Xmas all. :D
