My post sounded sarcastic because it was supposed to be
Okay then. I personally find it quite offensive then that you imply everyone who doesn't attend church on Xmas is in the wrong. Again, it's all down to personal beliefs.
That's the last I'm saying on the subject though as I don't want to hijack the op's thread and turn it into a row about religion!
Merry xmas everyone!

Those are your words....certainly not mine.
Please don't try and shove your own thoughts into my mouth. It's not appreciated."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -
We're having some friends round Christmas eve afternoon for drinks. Hopefully it'll tire the kids out and they'll go straight to sleep!!Murphy's No More Pies Club Member No. 680

Being sarcatic like this is not fair on people with no faith. Christmas is not just about faith, it is about family and coming togher as one.
Yes Faith plays a big part in it, but surely none religious people have the right to rejoice in the season of good will. Do not go about being nasty and sarcatic to those that do not believe. This is not what Faith is about, it is about excepting every one around you.
I have a friend who is Jehove Witnesss and I know that they do not celebrate it. Instead of giving them a christmas card and putting on him my faith. I gave him a thank you card instead, as I rent a washer off him.
Please no more having a go at people and lets all share the joy of christmas. Wins in 09 = A vodka cocktail kit thing lol, £150 Amazon voucher.0 -

Come on now that is not fair, I did not post about my religious commitments to start with as I know its not every body's cup of tea.
The Op was asking what people were doing on Christmas Eve. I just posted what I was doing. I also pointed out that bar one person, I was the only person who had said that I'd be going anywhere near a church.
Whether you don't like to post about your religion or not for fear of offending someone on an internet forum is completely up to you. You certainly don't have to justify yourself to me.
As for "not respecting others who do not share my faith". Could you really be any more insulting? Or off the mark come to that?

You just answered my question with your own edit!"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."

If you re read my post, you will see I have re worded it, as I have trouble typing what I mean and sometimes have to re do things. Wins in 09 = A vodka cocktail kit thing lol, £150 Amazon voucher.0

It's Christmas Eve.
We'll be going to church.
In the day i'll be packing mine and the childrens clothes and Christmas presents to take to my parents as we will be staying until Boxing Day or the day after. We'll also all be going to Carols Around the Tree at 11.30pm on Christmas Eve which will be followed by Midnight Mass.Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

I'm working and when I've finished work I'm driving for about 3.5 hours to get to family and hoping there's some dinner ready when we get there!! It's worth it though...I think. If I had children there's no way I'd be working but as I don't I'll go in so those with kids can take the day off.
Yep similar to me - I'm working till 14:00 and then driving 5.5 - 6.5 (depending on traffic) hours south to spend a few days over Christmas with my bro and his family.
Hoping the traffic will be very lightHate and I do mean Hate my apple Mac Computer - wish I'd never bought the thing
Do little and often
Please stop using the word "of" when you actually mean "have" - it's damned annoying :mad:0
