I always grease and flour all non-stick tins and have never had any problems.

have you got any walnuts or sultanas?

Or if you don't like them, would banana muffins be easier to make?

    Hi Pingua,

There's an older thread that has quite a few recipes that should help so I've merged your thread with it to keep all the replies together.

There are also some recipes for breadmakers about too, let me know if you want me to find them for you.

Would someone please be kind enough to dig out the reciepe for Banana Bread which is is Martins Thrifty Ways book? I have lent my copy to a friend (very money saving of her :p ) and she has gone on holiday! I did do a quick search, but didn't come up with anything (although I am being a bit naughty, as I don't have the time to sit through it at the mo :o )

Thanks in advance for any replies....

This is one I use -

    2-3 bananas
    1 cup sugar
    3 tbsp veg oil
    2 eggs
    2 cups SR Flour

Not sure of oven temp as always do it in the bread machine.

Oooh Gingham Ribbon - that sounds/looks like the one - thank-you.
Which programme do you use in the breadmaker jess444? Maybe I could combine the 2? Or would that just be getting clever & backfire on me??? ha ha

  • I use the same one as jess & I got it from a thread on here originally - chuck it all in the panasonic breadmaker, put it on pizza(dough) mix for 5 mins (check 1/2 way through & scrape mix from corners into middle if necessary), then put on bake only for 55 mins.
Gorgeous...... I had foreign students in through the summer & the amount of this we went through cos they all loved it so much.... You can just mix it together & bake in a loaf tin in the oven too - you'll have to experiment with timings dependent on your oven :-)
