  • I had the same problem when I "downsized" my job, I got turned down for all sorts because they thought I was overqualified, so what? Sometimes people need to de-stress their lives.

Wouldn't it be nice it there was a vacancy for a knitting and crochet tutor somewhere?

Thanks SA but I am not good enough to be a tutor for that, just pottering along doing my little hobby really!

    Thanks Phil too!

I am keeping searching because the right job will find me when it is the right time I am sure. Will keep working for the bank at the moment I guess!

Hey there, good to hear from you....

I think for a lot of us, once the BR has been reached, it is such a relief that we start getting on with our lives again and the days fly by. I have noticed that many of us post much less and it makes me all the more grateful and appreciative of people like dalip and fyp who post day in, day out helping others. It is a never ending task. I try but I find that unless I am sitting by the 'puter 24/7 I lose track of the posts. :o

Anyway back to you, I hope you do get to treat yourself with this months wages... could well happen, the OR offices don't seem the most quick and efficient service I have known ...;)

    Hugs

    Hi
Yesterday i received my IPA, and a letter asking for my tennancy agreement. i have emailed the OR as i do not have anything offical, it was a friend of a friend which sorted the room for me. I have asked them if they would accept a letter from my land lord, if not i have asked what would they accept. Does any one have any knowledge of this sort of thing. Also the IPA was what they said it would be which was great, you worry that when it arrived it will be double for something like that. It starts 31st March, so it looks like i get all of Febs Wages to try and save JIC. I was bankrupt on 16.01.09 so thats the maths for IPA, i had telephone interview on 10.02.09.
Hope all goes well for everyone else.
    xx

hiya everyone how are you all doing :O) just spent ages reading through the posts I have missed, havent been on here for ages. Cant believe I am now going into my third month of br now - wowzers how time flies, my bank account has not been frozen which has been good news as blummin WTC benefit has been still paid in there even after my rants to them each week but hurrah and cuzzah last week it went into my new coop account so dont need old one anymore! We had an IPA put on us for £60 a month which was meant to start 1.03.09 but they have not sent us anything to set it up or pay it???? should I phone them about this, hubby has had a payrise too so will need to review SOA now too! have really enjoyed the last couple of months tho as felt completely set free - have not felt guilty at all as we did everything in our power to keep paying those damn debts for years and ended up loosing everything just wish we had done this about 2 years ago - hey ho done it now and what a relief even the phone calls have stopped and the few I had last month just told em gone br gave them date and no. and never heard from them again - oooooooooohhhhh got everything crossed now cos that is tempting fate a little bit isnt it LOL

not looking for a job now till out of br so enjoying my time off, dog has wondered what the hell is going on cos taking him for long long walks in the day now - sure his legs have got shorter LOL

    take care all

You are sooo right. I feel bad that I haven't checked in much but its been no looking back since everything is now in place.
I do keep trying to check in to offer some "helpful" advice to others where I can or at least sticking my 2 cents in.

I am doing well thanks. Hope you guys are too

Hi everyone! Hope you are all well.

I finally got a letter from the official receivers office today with a couple of forms to complete and send back and - NO INTERVIEW!!!! :D :j :D :j

Well at least none for the time being. My OR seems to be so so busy! And I guess I should have known they would be as my local court went from hearing BR petitions three days a week to five days a week.

So from now on am keeping my head down until discharged.

Just got to arrange buying back my insurance policies and beneficial interest.

Am feeling bit more relaxed about not having to do a telephone interview.

Congrats! bet you do feel better...

We are still waiting for the trustee to finalise the bi thing, we supplied 3 estate agents valuations and one surveyor valuation, plus details of another property near us (that is almost same as ours and selling 10k less than the lowest valuation) The trustee has still arranged a drive by valuation for next week. not sure of the point but.... at the minute on the surveyor valuation we would be lucky to offer them 10k, I am hoping the details of the other property will help lower it :) MIL has told us that if she only has to give us 5k or less then she will pay for a new kitchen for us, nothing fancy max of 3k, of course it all depends on the BI situation, im trying not to get my hopes up, Our kitchen is a wreck, and have wanted it doen for years, Now she would be paying for it.. would i need to inform the OR? would it be ok for us to take it?

OH had another call today from moorcroft, to do with a halifax debt. He has told them 5 times now about the BR :(

Two months now of being BR, Im happier, more confident and looking forward to a bright future
