No I had not. Thanks for that tigerfeet.

I am deeply humbled. Mind you I could have the longest BR from applying to actual Date at court

hiya YM got everything crossed for you and hope you get the service I got as it was fantastic - still awaiting the OR interview so will be glad when that is over with. Picked up the phone for the first time this afternoon to a withheld number and told them i was made bankrupt today - that felt good! and said if they continue to phone or send letters I will be informing the OR ! ha

    all the best ;o)

    Congratulations clanbailey,

Tell me something, was all the worrying over the paperwork unneccessary?
Did you have anything on the forms that needed correcting?

I am so pleased it went smoothly for you..

  • Hello all

I went BR on the 5th January after about 6 years of financial struggle and a failed IVA, loosing my house ETC. Don’t know why it took me so long, I guess it was just denial and the hope that that lottery win was inevitable.

I am waiting for the OR appointment and have received a package in the post yesterday which I have not yet had time to read through.

I will post more about my circumstances and progress at a latter date but it is good to know that I can come here and talk to people that understand and are experiencing the same thing.

I am 100% skint at the moment, have no food in the house, electric meter is about to run out (so i better make this quick) and no petrol in the car payday is still a couple of weeks away and lord alone knows what the OR is going to let me keep from my pay check. From my calculation I will be left with about £50 disposable income after all of my living costs are met, how on earth am I going to manage?

Anyway chin up, look to the future and all that !!!

    Hi JT...welcome along.....thought I`d reply b4 your electric goes!!!

Talk away Honey....sometimes just getting the whole thing `off your chest` is very thereputic & makes you realise that far more people are reading this & worrying about debt that you can ever imagine.

Well done on getting through the 5th Jan...do you have a date for your OR meeting/call ?

  • hiya start again can definately say all the worry and panic was definately not worth it, I couldnt believe I had wound myself up that much! normally the cool calm collected one LOL there were a couple of little corrections on the form which we did there and then so thats no an issue too - I had to explain my pension part cos that was one of the bits i got in a tizz about and she was like oh thats fine dont worry about it! I am sure the OR will be more thorough but at least the deed is done and I will be able to explain what I have written on the form :O)

good luck on monday SA and will be thinking of you - you will be fine ;o)
