Good Morning everyone.....
Yes, I am still around... just
Working every day this week until quite late in the evening so I am not really getting much of a chance to keep up with the board.....
Once again Congrats to Don79 for sort of being successful yesterday - I am sure that when the t's are crossed and the i's dotted today - it will be a complete success.
:T
I have finalised my essay for the OR - it is a cross between a life story and a sob story ..... but then I suppose most of us have got a history that sounds like that - it is why we are all here in the first place!
Still very quiet on the creditors phoning - there is only one 0845 number calling and I expect that is Vanquis - that seems to be their style - highest % rates means highest chasing...... only 4 days to go. The good thing about being out of the flat most of the time is that I don't have to put up with the phone ringing.
Anonymous calls barred and Caller display are just the best!
Well worth the cost.
I am looking forward to a bit of me time next week.....
Starting the week off on Monday morning by filing for BR .......
Monday afternoon - Chiropractor with my dodgy back - must remember to wear big knickers!:D
then a quiet week - normal 7 hour shifts at work....
a meeting of my Book Club on Thursday ....
and happily telling whichever creditor who cares to ring ......
"Sorry, I am bankrupt as of 12/01/09..... bye bye!"
The relief will be enormous.
Good Luck anyone who is filing for BR today or tomorrow.....
Thinking of you all

Hi Guys,
sorry couldnt log on yesterday.
I knew that there would be problems when I went....typical!!
I got to court and hads all papers ok, money was ok, swore affidavit and waited and waited and waited...... from 0930 til 10.45!!
I had to wait with about 20 other people who were going to county court over an issue and they were bickering back and forth!! didnt think that could happen nowadays.(wasnt a bankruptcy thing) I eventually went in and thought it odd how the "jokey" usher crossed himself before opening the door to let me in.
However, once in the judge said he didnt know why id left it so long as I was obviously struggling five years ago.!!
signed the order and said I may have to pay a contribution to my OR if surplus monies...
had to wait again for half hour in a room afterwards to speak to the OR who sounded like a young girl who didnt know much and kept having to ask for answers to my questions about bank account and car,etc
I didnt get out until 1230!!
I dont know how i feel yet but time will heal.
will be better when I sort out bank and car which could be two weeks for the or to get back to me.
Donna, gald you came thro ok and again many thanks for all the support Ive got from you guys.
will log on again when i can.
regards,

hiya baz congrats on yesterday sounds like the jeremy kyle people where there with you LOL onwards and upwards hope you get what you want re OR interview
mine is tomorrow so can anyone please look at my statement for going br pleasy - its here below:
Things were ok when I first took credit out as I had a very good job with a blue chip company and earning a very good wage and my job was secure. Then in 2004 after a series of health issues I had an operation which meant I had to take 12 weeks off work (which was fine) but before I was due to return I had a serious problem with my back which was out of the blue and ended up bed ridden and unable to do any day to day tasks even walking or sitting. It was found I had ruptured my lower disc and the next disc was herniated, the ruputured disc had trapped and crushed my sciatica nerve which brought more issues. I underwent another operation to remove the disc and repair the nerve but even though the operation was actually successful recovery has been very prolonged and still suffering due to this. After being on long term sick with my employers for 2 years I went under a full medical investigation with them and it was decided that for the foreseeable future I would not be able to return to work in any capacity so they terminated my employment and gave me a disability pension to run until I can return to some form of work (which I still have not been able to). During this time my husband had already started working for himself and set up a Limited Company. After a few years cashflow in the company was struggling and he could not pay himself a wage, but he carried on working hard to grow the business. My husband then suffered from very bad stress which result in him loosing his hair and having chronic fatigue. We ended up living off credit to get us through daily, when we realised that the we could not carry on like this he got a full time job with another Company to help pay our bills – this was in March 2008. Hoping to be able to manage our debts we originally set up payment plans with creditors themselves but was still too much money going out on a monthly basis so set up an IVA in February 2008. However after a few months we were in arrears with our mortgage and struggling even to live, by this time we decided we could not live of any more credit and tried to work out an agreement with the mortgage company to have an affordable payment we could meet each month for a restricted period of time but the mortgage provider would not assist in anyway and proceedings started for the repossession of the house. In the meantime we could not meet the IVA payments either and there was no flexibility here too. We had to concerntrate on finding a house to rent for our family and the house was repossessed in October 2008. After speaking to Citizens Advice Bureau about our situation the only conclusion to the situation was to petition for bankruptcy. My husbands company had to cease trading too and this ceased in September 2008.

Hi all,
I am new here and will be filing for my bankruptcy on Monday 12th January.
My business is about to go into receivership and it has been struggling since early 2008 and was hit hard when this recession started to kick in and I have not been able to take any income since the middle of 2008 which caused me to default on everything. All money was gone!
Before this I have never missed a payment for anything!
Adding to this is the fact that my reposession hearing for my house is also next week and I am unable to make any offers as I have nothing to offer.
So! Losing my house and declaring bankruptcy. Let the fun begin!

Hiya wow cant believe have done it now – me and other half are numbers 20 and 21 :O)
After the last few days of drinking copious amounts of wine to help me sleep – panicing over the forms and pooping myself on a regular basis!!! Couldn’t believe how easy and fine things were this morning.
Appointment was a 10 and went in prompt on 10am, was took into a room with a lady clerk – she was lovely and said exactly what was going to happen, she went through the form and we signed it, went to pay the br fee then back into the room. We sat there whilst she took the forms to the judge, he signed them off and she typed up our br letter confirming then we were free to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG all of 40 minutes!!!! OR should phone either this afternoon or Monday so got 2 wishes for this : 1 that the OR oks our expenses : 2 that we don’t get and IPA stuck on us sooooooooo fingers crossed for that.
How do I feel??? Well to tell you the truth I don’t know!!! After building myself up and nearly throwing up it is suddenly and very quickly all over with, I think it needs to set in as I still cant believe I have got the enormous burden of my debts off my shoulders!
Will let you know how the OR interview goes
Keep everything crossed for me :O)BR 9th Jan 2009 - Discharged 9th Jan 2010
