All the best

Thanks ym,
I actually managed to sleep last night and have just checked my forms for the umpteenth time and counted my fees for about the millionth time. I am not sure why - it is if I expect a gremlin to come along and steal £20 out of the envelope or something
I am not sure what I am feeling - I think trepidation is probably the word, a bit unsure of what is in store for me in the next few weeks.
I am glad work slows down a bit now - I have worked 8 evenings on the trot and it will be nice to take things a bit easier.
Good weather for Monday morning - it is pouring down and the strong winds are still blowing.... seems perfect for my BR day. Sunshine tomorrow perhaps?
Just a word of thanks to those of you who have sent me their words of support and best wishes - I appreciate them more than you know. This forum has truly been a godsend to me in lots of ways.
I will be writing it all up as soon as I get home.
Lastly, Good luck to patsypat ...... I will be thinking of you pp.
Best wishes to anyone else on the BR route today.....
Speak to you soon,

Morning all,
I have been made BR last Monday, 5th January at 12.10pm.
On 8th Jan, I had my phone interview with the Official Receiver (his assistant, rather). It was a friendly chat, no hassle. Maybe because my BR is a clear-cut case of me having supported my failing business with private money over the past six years and not accummulating luxury debts.
No house, no car, no assets, there's nothing of value whatsoever. All gone into the limited company which went into Voluntary Liquidation.
The BR makes me feel greatly relieved. The building up to it was horrific but now I have my Court Order in my files and it's time to make a fresh start!
I hope the BR experience will eventaully be equally liberating for all of you who are still going through the pre-court procedures.
Best wishes,
Bissous0 -
Hiya firstly want to say good luck to you all today who are off to court to do the deed - it will be fine and fingers crossed for you all it is quick and easy :O)
bissous good for you for going br last week (mine was last friday) but your situ sounds basically same as mine - have not had OR interview yet, should be calling today sometime but it is encouraging to hear that you had no hassle re why the debt and spending as we ended up living off credit cos business was doing badly and it was more important to us to pay the staff but we paid the consequenses for it, some times wish we had been more hard nosed but not built that way so made sure everyone else was ok and in the mean time lost everything myself! never mind all behind me now.
Since friday spent a lot of the time catching up on sleep I missed out on last week and today feel refreshed and in disbelief that I actually dont have the debts hanging around my neck - its a strange feeling and I think its gonna take a little getting used to as I used to spend most of my days fending off the collectors adding and re adding up the money I had to try and live on!!! HURRAH now its all gone, even if the OR puts an IPA on me still will have more money than I have had in years!
Let us know how things go today guys and thinking of you all

Hello all
Just wanted to let you all know that I have my OR telephone meeting tomorrow afternoon and am bricking it !!!!
I think this is going to be the hardest part of the whole process.0 -
Well that's it all done.
The whole thing was over in less than half an hour and to think I had a terrible nights sleep last night purely worring about the judge and him/her saying nope sorry no can do!! But thankfully that was not the case, didnt even see the judge. Am waiting now for the OR to contact me to organise my interview, fingers crossed it will be a telephone interview.
Thanks to all of those for the advice and support and am now looking forward to getting on with my life. :j0 -

Hi Joburg, I know what you mean about the OR interview, I think once that is all over, then I will relax a bit more. I have no idea at all when I will get contacted about this.
And patsy - congratulations again! :TBSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0 -

I got an A4 envelope in the post 2 days after I filed for BR with a lot of information leaflets and also containing some more forms I have to sign granting power of attorney to the OR and also another one that I had to sign giving the OR rights to my inland revenue records. In that pack was also a letter with the date and time of my telephone appointment with the OR which also detailed what information I would need to have at hand for the OR call and what to expect.0 -
