Parking Ticket Appeals article discussion

hi can anyone tell me what happens if the 'Notice to Owner ticket', requirements sent in the letter rejecting my objection to the parking fine, are not met by the Council. For instance...The amount of the penalty charge is not shown, or, the date on which the charge happened, or, if the charge is not paid within 28 days, or, also, the amount of the increased charge if is not in the letter. to this affect the council's claim....does this help me get off in any way?
thanks
Adam

I got fined £50 for overstaying (80mn instead of 60mn) at McDonald's car park near Stansted airport on 18/07/2009. I truly didn't see any signage or would have hurried the kids. I got a letter from MET parking services, tried to dispute it but they could care less although I explained that I was on benefit and asked me to pay again plus threatened me to go to court. Following the advice given in the article I didn't pay and received further correspondence asking for more money. Debt collectors then took over and sent me a letter on 23/12/09. Today I received a letter from a solicitor a "notice of intended legal action" (I don't even know what it means). It says to contact them with my proposals for settlement within 7 days to avoid the possibility of this action. I'm a tad lost now. Should I respond? Should I seek for some legal help? If they take me to court what are my chances of success taking into consideration that I'm on benefit? I feel harrassed and scared now.0

Search on here and pepipoo.com for macdonalds and you will be cheered up by the thought that despite the threats(designed to make you pay up) they will not take you or anyone to court. They will NOT send bailiffs around they can't. They will NOT give you a CCJ despite their promises. The debt collectors and solicitors are usually fictitious and just another desk in the same office.
You are near the end or they would not be so heavy handed

Thanks for the quick reply. I will check the website. Maybe it's going to help soother my fear. Indeed they mentioned bailiffs but you look so confident that I will continue to ignore their threats and keep my fingers crossed. One more question though: What's CCJ? It's all double dutch for me.
Thank you0 -
What's CCJ?0

There's plenty of confirmation in all these McDonalds threads:
