Neil - in your opinion do you think clamping ever will be banned?

Am I correct in thiking that it's an illegal practice in Scotland?

    Thanks

    S.

Wheel clamping is indeed illegal in Scotland (since 1992)

    Good for the Scots!

    It's a vile practice.

Has anyone thought that the CEO (or whoever) may have been told by their boss that they MUST do something (like isue a ticket the minute a car is over) and that if they don't they will be disciplined.
If people have a problem with the enforcement of traffic regulations the answer is simple, make sure you park legally.
If you get caught (and I have once) then pay up.
Either that get a job as a traffic warden and let everyone off.
Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)

I don't suppose I would be able to prove that they read our registration out at the team meeting and I only know because a friendly warden was nice enough to point it out to us.

I know about the photos of offending vehicles because a friend went for a job interview

I wonder what it is about the above comment that makes me think of Germany in the 40's?
