Traffic Wardens

End of the day the LAW STATES DOUBLE YELLOW LINES MEANS FINE IF YOU PARK THERE.
You get caught on double yellow lines then you are thick for parking there in the first place and deserve the fine you get.0 -
Sturl get your fine paid instead of moaning. You broke the law so just accept it.You broke the law then moan when a traffic warden or police officer does his job and gives you a ticket. You then start to ramble about truck drivers and motorways.0

What fine? Who said i had a fine?
Typical traffic wardens - giving me a fine for not even having done anything.0 -

the laws of physics and basic graivity rules will tell most lorry drivers the correct time and place to overtake, even these simple rules seem beyond most lory drivers these days.
its a syndrome i like to call the "smokey and the bandit syndrome" (even although its a great trilogy) burt and the gang made a good movie but created a million wannabes.
i can just see conor with fred in his lap, just like the snowman!
My friend i could moan about Truck Drivers for the rest of my life.
The next time you hear of an accident on a motorway look what was involved and in many cases caused it.0 -
Any man who can give someone a £60 fine a week before christmas fior a minor parking offence is a coward on a power trip in my opinion.
And we are all entitled to our opinions.
What is a minor parking offence?
Only breaking the law a little bit?
I suspect the man is question was doing the job he was employed to do.
What has Xmas got to do with it?0 -
Blimey!
What are the chances of all the Traffic Warden lovers coming together on one forum?!?
A lot of tickets issued are NOT because the driver has acted illegally - what about all the tickets given for overstaying in a car park by a couple of minutes? It's called extortion.

Finally two pages in someone actually reads what i wrote and understands it!
Thank you.0 -
Those tickets are not issued by traffic wardens. They are issued by parking attendants.
Double yellow lines mean no WAITING at any time. You are, however, allowed to load/unload goods as long as there are no markings on the kerb. Personal shopping (groceries) does not count as loading/unloading.
Parking attendants are employed by the Local Authority to enforce car parks and the like.
They are two different groups of people employed by two different bodies and have been since at least 1994.0 -
I think people were using the term 'Traffic Warden' generally to cover the various types who are operational (which no longer includes "parking attendants" but does actually include 'Traffic Wardens').0

I admit then that I don't understand the original post.
How is the person, be he traffic warden or not, a coward, in your opinion of course?
And what has the time of year got to do with the issuing of tickets?0
