YOu are not one of the car park "Post it note police" are you?!
Both me and my friend, in different car parks at different sides of the country have received post it notes berating our parking ability.... this got me thinking, what kind of stressed out Victor Meldrew type character is really that bothered about parking spaces that they carry some paper in the car for the sole purpose of writing angry anonymous notes on peoples car windows.
My car was parked in the space - the car park was busy - with other cars either side and in front, at a supermarket. The Post it Note Police had written -
"!!!! driver? Can't find reverse?"
I am not sure why he was annoyed at my parking - I was within the space centrally within the lines. The only possible reason I can think of is because he had reversed into his space, meaning his boot was almost inaccessible by trolley. I hadn't even touched his car!
I have pen and paper in my car at all times. What happens if I need to write something down? What if I had a crash and had to take the other persons insurance details? I doubt the people were carrying the post it notes just to stick on your car. More likely they were carrying paper in their car incase they need to write something down and noticed how shitly you had parked? This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.0 -

I stand by the fact that it was a pretty good parking job and certainly did not warrant a post it note calling me a !!!! driver.
I think the real problem here is some people just need to chill out a bit and not get so worked up something as petty as a car parking near you -- ooo how scary!!
Anyway, its mainly the car park owners fault - they try and cram the maximum amount of cars possible into a car park to maximise their revenue from it, meaning less space per car. This, combined with our love of bigger and bigger cars (look at the new Micra compared to the old one - its huge) makes for a parking nightmare!!0 -
Must agree with you on the carpark owners fault. More spaces = more customers at once = more money.
BUT, I dont agree that people need to chill about people parking next to them. If you've had your car dented by someone not being bothered to be careful opening their car door you'd understand. This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.0 -

So its not the cars parking near you that is really the problem then.... its car parking near you and opening their doors carelessly... that is annoying I agree.0 -
In an empty car park, the cars SHOULD park next to each other - this makes it easier to fill the whole car park, as you can spot the empty spaces in a big block at the far end of the car park without wasting time driving round the whole thing.
It is the idiots who insist on parking really spread out in a car park that cause all the long delays in finding a parking space!
a car park with over 200 spaces and you want everyone parked next to each other?
think before you post in future. in a tesco car park some folk need access to most doors on thier car and boot, so why does parking close to someone else make sense to you?
are you that blind you cant find an empty space out of 200 spaces when only maybe 10 or so cars are parked spaced out?
at the imax an average sized person could not walk between my car and the f**k heads golf who parked next to me,not even sideways,it was so close.
i am not "parking police" ive never left a post it note for anyone on thier windscreen.
i had my passenger door dented in a multi story car park,i was parked at the end of the row with no spaces to the left of my car and still someone managed to dent it. this is why i hate folk parking next to me when the car park is empty, minimises risk of damage.especially last night as it was very windy and could easily have blown someones door out of thier hand to dent my car....work permit granted!0 -

And now we come to the reason why perhaps I am not so bothered about my car doors...
