mindless parking.

this is becoming such a common occurence these days and tonight just topped it all off.
last week went to tesco at night time so it was very quiet, parked in a space with plenty of empty spaces round about, came out of the shop about 30 mins later and there it was,an empty car park except my car and a blue nissan micra parked right next to me,angry at this i pushed thier mirror it just to inconvenience them.
tonight,i went to the imax in glasgow, wasnt busy, infact it was very empty,so the car park was also very empty, came out from the imax and a silver vw golf was attatched to the passenger side of my car, there was no way in hell they managed to get out of thier drivers door without touching my passenger door, they were actually well over the marked line and right in my space. they could have chosen any of the other 200 hundred emty spaces, but they wanted to park right next to me,why?
are people so thick they cannot judge a parking space without another vehicle there?
its times like that i wish i still had an old car that i didnt mind hitting off thier nice new golf, because tonight would have been thier night.

does this type of lunacy anger anyone else so much?

You are not alone, it infuriates me as well, I call it the " Sheep Effect ", they clearly havn't got the brains to park anywhere other than near another vehicle.

I often feel like asking them why they selected that space, when there are so many better one's to choose from?

Gets me too goldspangles, though I tend to use the urinal etiquette rules when parking :D

i have thought about waiting around to ask the same question but my blodd really starts to boil when folk do this.
i even try to park away from the nearest spaces to the entrance but it still happens.

I park at the back of an otherwise empty car park, and still the plonkers pull up next to me, I just find it so hard to understand.

What, that people seem to think they have the right to a 10 ft exclusion zone around their car?

You don't. People are free to park where the hell they like in a car park.

As for Crabman, you'll only do that to my car once and you'll not father anymore kids and be singing soprano.

On a similar theme, I live in a semi, the frontage outside the pair of semis is plenty wide enough for 2 cars to park, with a reasonable gap between them, without blocking either drive at each side of the houses. Why do people visiting the local shops etc. deem it essential to park smack bang in the middle of this large space leaving half a car length either end, which is no use to anyone

Eh? you'd do him over for leaving a space between your car and his own?

yep i get this all the time , angers me no end

i'll go out of way to find an end space and park right up to the kerb so theres ample space of the other car parks well , oh no park over the line so your still nearly touching me

im sure if i parked in the middle of the sahara id come back to find a beat up mumsy people carier squeezed up against me
  • depending on where it is and how long i will be i find leaving sidelights on a night
    a) should hopefully stop people clipping your car by mistake
    b) makes people not park next to you, i think its because they think someone is in the car
