fizzel - your debt busting is very impressive, you must feel really proud you are sorting it out and repaying it so quickly.
Lollopybear - I make a lot of pizzas with ciabatta bread because OH likes his pizza "squishy" and they are so quick to make- I got some ciabatta's that are part cooked from Mr T - they're really long - enough to cut in 2 then split open so will make 4 pizzas. They just go in the oven for a few mins then toppings on and a few more mins til the cheese melts. I use 2/3rds ordinary cheese 1/3mozzarella. And I use passata rather than tomato puree because it soaks into the bread nicely. Soda bread also makes lovely pizzas but it can be hard to get hold of. You can freeze them once they're made too before you cook the toppings.
Brightonbelle - I just started using the soapnuts and they work really well - I can't tell the difference between them and my usual Fairy - even on duvet covers. OH's excema has cleared up too so will be ordering a big bag."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better." Paul Theroux0 -
Tinned toms were 19p last time I bought some and 21p for chopped - and that really wasn't so long ago! Someone tell me they're still cheaper in L1dls?
As for food prices going down, the question then is, to stockpile or not to stockpile?

Hi All,
A NSD for me as I spent the morning ironing and then in-laws came over for a lovely roast dinner. Normally from a whole chicken I get about 3 meals and a couple of sandwiches out of it but not this time  Got enough left for DH's lunch tomorrow. At least MIL came with 6 rolls of toilet paper... maybe she's trying to tell me something about my cooking :rotfl: She bought them in the cash and carry and really liked them so gave her DD a pack and brought a pack over for us
I updated my sig last night and included the flipping £60 congestion charge fine I got
I'm also thinking about growing a few bits but I will only have a bit of patio to use so will need to do things in tubs. I've never grown anything before so I'm going to have to nip over to the greenfingered board I think and pick some brains

Bails, just leave it as it is for now please. I will catch up this week and I am sure we can jig it the way that you need.
I am exhausted. Thank goodness it is nursery/school day tomorrow. I need a holiday to recover from this holiday..."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Thanks for that skint_chick, that sounds so good. We can get soda bread at our local Mr Ts, we have that when DH makes an Ulster fry-up, just never thought of using that for a pizza base either. We normally make hm pizza using the breadmaker, but it's quite a bit off faff so mostly we buy it readymade. This is a great midway solution! Has anyone got any suitable quotes or poems that I can use for the cards I am making this year, please? Covering birthdays, friendship, anniversaries, weddings, babies and anything really. I'm in a creative mode. I thought this year I would get some good words and build cards round that. Don't think copyright will be an issue as it's only for individual cards for giving to friends/relatives.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them.
