Hi, How does this sound?
I want to get cheap membership to my local Holmes place gym, with no intention of claiming on the health policy. (I have health insurance elsewhere)
If anyone who has completed the full application, can you comment on what is stopping me from telling the pru I am a 19 year old in good health?
At worst they can cancel the policy?
Its just a thought....0 -

OK. Going to sign up to this deal, but am very worried about this 12month minimum contract with Holmes Place.
If i join, do i have to stay for 12 months with HP? If i cancel my policy at month 5 say, then can HP take my money etc?

Can someone please confirm for me (from an official source e.g. a Pru Health advisor) that:
a) you can cancel Cannons after 6 months (i.e. no minimum 12 months contract etc)
and
b) you can cancel the Pru Health plan after 6 months if you don't make a claim (which obviously I won't)
Cheers

Ive just joined up with pru health and received my pack today, Im looking to get membership with holmes place but after reading the info it tell me I have to pay the membership fee for pru (£21) and the subsidised membership for holmes (£25) which brings the total to £46!
Am I reading this right or do pru pay the gym membership and if so what do you take to the gym to prove they will be paying.
Any help would be very nice0 -

I think the line is open 8am-8pm Mon-Fri, not sure about weekends.0 -
Does anyone know if the cannons gym membership is peak or off-peak. Need to know asap. Only worth doing if it's anytime( peak) membership.0

I was a member of Holmes Place in Notting Hill that was £75 per month. With the Pru deal I get the top-level Private Medical Insurance cover for £55 per month with free gym membership for 6 months and then a rate of £25 per month thereafter. So even after the six month period is up I get excellent PMI cover and gym membership for only £5 more per month than I was previously paying for gym membership alone! A really good deal which is based on being a 36 year old non-smoking male.0

Just spotted something in the T&Cs which should be noted:
They normally charge a joining fee but this will be waived "provided membership is continued without a break from the end of the free membership period".
So looks like you need to continue your membership (at the reduced rate of £25 for being a Pruhealth member) for at least a month after the end of the 6 months. Spread this cost over 7 months for calculation purposes and it still comes out at under £25 a month (my premium is £21 a month).Leni wrote:Does anyone know if the cannons gym membership is peak or off-peak.
