While there was no 12 month minimum pruhealth membership for the gym offer when they did it back in March, there is now. Probably best to check this before you go for it.
  • a possible word of warning: I took up this offer last year, and Pruhealth managed to !!!! things up at every stage, they didn't send me a membership card or form, so I had to explain to holmes place every time I went and get them to find me manually. then they didn't deduct the £32 premium for a couple of months, then took 6 months [more than I owed] at once, took a while to refund it. oh, and sent me a form with cricklewood insted of regents place as my branch. I changed it and added a note to say I'd never mentioned cricklewood when I signed up. that took forever to sort out. so just to say, keep on your toes with pruhealth's admin. I may have just been unlucky - but maybe not.....
and this is my first post on MSE!! have been addicted to the weekly email for over a year and have signed up
Highest debt: mountain of £8,691 in early 2003. [strike]Debt when I joined MSE in 06: mound of around £2,246... smaller mound of around £1900[/strike][strike] :) / as of Apr 07 little heap of £443[/strike]. as of June 1 2007: zero
  • After reading the article I took advantage of the offer and I can guarentee it really is too good to be true! I've now got a gym membership and medical cover for less than I was previously paying JUST for the gym. Even after 6 months when I'll need to start paying £25 for the gym membership on top of my policy cover it'll STILL be cheaper than my current gym membership alone!
  • does anyone know what you do about the induction after you get your membership number activated, for the 1st timne do you just turn up or do you have to phone in advance?

    Offer back on :)

Simply pay a one-off activation fee of £25 to join Cannons, LA Fitness or Virgin Active, and pay as little as £25 a month, for the first three months. Then depending on how often you go and the gym network you choose, your ongoing gym membership could be free* (as long as you use the gym at least twice per week).
