Eh? 4 and 2 year old?
Surely they wouldn't be able to do the lightest weights or the lowest setting on the treadmill.....A shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist.
A young loner on a crusade to champion the cause of the innocent,
the helpless, the powerless, in a world of criminals who operate above the law.0 -
For anyone that has received their pack - do you get some sort of voucher that you take to the gym or do you have to fill something in etc..?
Thanks0 -
I've just taken advantage of this offer, and have today received my members pack.
As far as I can tell from a quick glance through the pack, the process is the same as described on their website:
http://www.pruhealth.co.uk/uk/prudential/presales/vp_holmes.jhtml?_requestid=26047 (sorry, don't seem to be able to work out how to insert a link!)"Locate your preferred club using the link above.
Call the Holmes Place Member Service Centre on 020 7562 2121 9am to 8pm Mon to Fri, 9am to 5pm Sat and book an appointment to view the facilities
Take your PruHealth membership card and one other form of identification
If you like what you see contact the Holmes Place Member Service Centre to confirm your membership choice and authorise your health club payments. They’ll send you a membership pack.
Monthly gym payments are collected via direct debit "
I'll phone them myself in the next couple of days, and if I find out anything different I'll post again0 -

I should have pointed out we live near a family cannons gym that has a swimming pool for children - just in case anyone thought I was a sadistic dad!0 -
Do we have to select the gym before 28th february, or can we select it after that date as long as we've signed up with Pru? Does everything have to be done before this deadline or just the Pru signup?
Also, what does this mean: Holmes Place memberships are based on 12 month contracts. Does that mean we can't cancel earlier without incurring a penalty of some sort?0 -

if something bad happens can I still use NHS?. Sorry if it is a silly question but I don't live in England for long. And what about this cancelation can I cancel it at any time during first 12 months? BTW my premium is £15:)0

To get things like a fitness assessment, improving bmi etc you need assistance by a staff member - so does that mean you have to pay personal trainer fees?! Or are those checks/tests free?
Regarding the points system, you can only get a certain amount of points in each category and area.
Education - 400
Fitness - 1500
General - 50
Nutrition - 600
Screening - 1200
Smoking - 200

And heres the detailed limits:

Also, do the points get carried over each year? I read something saying 25% gets carried over. I read that in an old article so i'm not sure whether its changed cause the points system was different on the article.0 -

Yep, that's exactly what I did at Cannons. Made an appt with the gym, turned up with my PruHealth membership card, joined the gym, phoned PruHealth then and there from the phone at reception and they authorised my membership. I got my gym membership card straight away.0 -

I asked PRU this, they said you just have to sign up to the PRU before Feb 28th and you can join the gym anytime upto 12 months after that date. It is worth noting that this promotion started late last year and the deadline was 15th Jan, so they may continue this promotion for anther 6 weeks ?Ade0
