Any news if Esporta will join?
  • I just signed up. I was on a offpeak membership at cannons on my student card for £29, but the student card ran out I'm hoping that the gym didn't notice. My premiums would be going up to £39 for an offpeak memebership. I got a quote of £25 a month for the PRU so I'll be saving money for at least the first 6 months and I'll be able to go in the evening if I want which will be novel for me.
I'll let folk know if I have any problems with it. It's like paying for gym membership and getting health insurance free. It's great. :D :T
    x21 :D
  • This is fantastic, I just got a quote for <£21 a month!

I run & cycle regularly but for £21 a month I'll happily extend my fitness schedule to a posh gym for the next 6 months.

    Great tip, thank you.

Once you've signed up, does anyone know what happens next with regards to actually activating the gym membership?

£17 a month! Fantastic stuff, thank you so much :)
    Waddle you do eh?
  • I am desperate to lose three stones.

    Me too.

Atkins, m8...lost 7lbs in the first week, 3 more in the second, and I don't feel hungry.

It worked for me about 2 years ago but I started drinking again and here we are again.

I wouldn't stay on it long term, because I think the lack of roughage is unhealthy...but then, so is being a blob of lard.

  • Hi all,

I've been a member of Holmes Place for the past 2 yrs, and froze my membership for 3 months to re evaluate it's worth. Does anyone know if this offer (which works out to be cheaper with the medical cover than I've been paying!!!) is available for existing members too, or could it complicate things?

    in Edinburgh, of course!
    Free is my favourite price!
  • I can answer my own question, just in case there are others in the same position.... just as I sent the post above, I got a call from a pru health consultant (keen or what!). I do have to cancel my current membership with the club, and that's okay. I got a quote of under 25pds/month, and gym is free for 6 months then 25pds/month thereafter. As it stands, I'm saving 12quid and I've got medical cover!! And this bearing in mind my membership was subsidised as I wark for the NHS. I'm so pleased! I LOVE this money saving hobby!!! Lets get them 'friends'!!!
