  • Hello,
I just started to post and then realized that I have absolutely nothing interesting to say! :o
Nothing O/S - unless you can count refusing to take DD's to McDonalds for tea.
Have been to work, then collected DD's and visited my mum, now Im going to put a washload on, write the shopping list and do some tea, and may have to resort to PAYING DD's to go to bed early :o (not very MS'ing or O/S) but better that than tanning their hides which is what may result otherwise. Never mind PP's stroppy daughter my DD2 who is only 7 is not able to use hormones as an excuse for her back answering. :naughty:
Maybe I'll be really O/S and put her on ebay, mmm now theres a thought.......

PP, Quiche looks really yum, you could set up a business selling them, I'm sorry to hear about your OH's back, my OH had sciatica recently but it was MAN sciatica so twice as bad as most. ;) Hope your OH is not the same!

Curry Queen, Well done! I've been reading your posts for months and have read what you go through with agorophobia, so Im so pleased for you, I hope its the start of a happier phase for you.

MATH - look what you've started now with the paid2clicks!

    Happy birthday Lillibet, _party_
Forgot to say before - Congratulations to Mrs B! (Sorry no stork smilie)

Right then, (any tickle stomached people please dont read this) I'm off to scrape DD1's shoe, you can guess I'm sure what I'm referring to. I'd rather do that than clear up sick though, (hope no-one is eating their tea whilst reading that.) My mum reckons its good luck, so does that counteract the effects of Friday 13th ?

    Evening.

Lazy day today if im honest, ive got a chicken and sweetcorn soup in the slowcooker and loaf no 2 (wholemeal) turned out FABBY!! Its absolutley lush! Im going to get even fatter at this rate with having fresh lovely bread on tap. I must learn to excercise self control before all I ever do is eat bread. I hope the soup works too, I just threw things in and am hoping for the best - smells alright though!

I did intend to do much more today but ended up being lazy eating the rest of the xmas chocs on the sofa watching trashy tv, I did some laundry though so not a total waste of a day! I will do lots tomorrow to make up for it hopefully!

Anyway, off to smell the soup again... Home cooking is like a drug!

    hya bargainrzl,

whats freecycle? is it just London?

    please tell,

    love dorry
You might be lucky - musical instruments do occasionally come up on Freecycle. They do on the London group, anyway.

I got round the musical instrument issue by being a singer :D 12 years of lessons, Grade 8 and some regular professional work, and I've never had to pay for my instrument :D:D:D (I get my lessons on the cheap too, cos singing teacher is a good friend).

Although my (digital) piano did cost me about £750...

I've actually always wanted to learn the oboe, but they are horrendously expensive to buy (even reconditioned "starter models" come in at £1-2k )

today, oh took a massive pan of my soup to work to feed the office. someone started the craze last week and now everyone has to bring soup into the office, to see whose is the best!! i think its a great idea, ideal for january's dark days!

really wish my monitor at work couldn't be seen by everyone in the office - really cuts down my MSE time  ;) only 6 weeks of my contract left so need to start thinking about after then

took the plunge and put a couple of lots on ebay last night :j - almost every auction for these things go quite well so hoping that I'll get some bidders - money making this month isn't going well this month - have to put some real effort in now.

chicken bits and jacket potato now for tea.

need to tidy up tonight as have visitors tomorrow

Bang goes my evening of putting a video in for Judge John Deed, then having a soak and a read and watching a bit of soapstar superstars!! I think DS2 has chickenpox and he's all sorry for himself. He was ok until about bedtime - stripped him for his bath and found his tummy and upper arms covered in those tell-tale blisters. By the time he'd been in bed for 1/2 hr he was so itchy and miserable that he let me cut his fingernails down without a bother and I even got to calamine his spots - after crying cos he thought it was yucky medicine :) He's asleep now but if it's like the last few nights, he'll be awake crying soon. I did wonder if he was sickening for something but thought he was just getting a cough. Ah well, Mr TM will be pleased - he's not had it and is terrified of getting it as an adult. His mate was off work for 6 weeks and bedridden for 2, he was so ill.

Actually, I'm worried about him getting it now :rotfl:

Best get my video ready for action now anyway, then wait for the poor mite to wake up. Isn't it horrible when they are old enough to scratch and yet are too young not too.

TM - Awwwwwww - hugs to you and DS, chicken pox is horrible - I remember my 2 having it - I gave up with the calomine as it just made them more itchy.

Enjoy the peace while it lasts.
